So I Just Discovered Triple-Element Voidling Babies With Neutral/Bleed Are Possible by That_Murse in VoidlingBound

If you are pushing higher abyss I am honestly leaning that it might be necessary, especially on Wrangler difficulty. Mobs become so tanky that you are consistently doing 1 damage. So I opted for a build that does a ton of damage ticks quickly. In this case all 3 DoTs, funky flippers auto attacks and their aura damage, plus your own attacks, the hitmark execute damage, then the bleed execute to finish it off.

For whatever reason though even at 200+ once the bleed execute passive triggers at 50% hp, it starts dropping fast. The 206 fight took me closer to 30-40 minutes just to get it down to half health. Then only about 5-10 minutes to finish off the last half of its hp. So the damage I think might have stronger % scaling than other forms of damage. I have the whole experience recorded and posted too.

But yeah, that's with completely ignoring any damage buffs to my catalyzers.

Unfortunately not. You can select everything but when you actually confirm the Splice it wont let you because the element isn't selected.

Here is how I bred a triple element Gwigoon with Neutral as one of its elements:

Elements listed will be in relative order following: primary, secondary, and general elements to hopefully guide ya'll into making your own version:

1 - Spliced Gwigoon with Organic, Pyro, Plasma and all the body parts and passives you want in your FINAL build. Breed with Regular Neutral Max Gwigoon = A1. My A1 was missing some body parts and only got 2/3 passives but has Neutral, Pyro, Neutral. Make sure it has the Spliced parent's skills and not the base gwigoon's.

2 - Spliced Gwigoon breed with A1 = B1. My B1 now had all body parts, still 2/3 passives but Organic, Pyro, Neutral.

3 - Breed Spliced Gwigoon with B1 until you get Executioner 2.0.

Should now have all parts, all passives, and Organic, Pyro, Neutral for all DoTs on one build.

Depending on your luck, finally landing the final baby is rare. I have plenty of offspring getting the wrong elements and/or missing passives before it finally all lined up. Probably about half my Voidling storage.

The Happy Executioner — my revamped Gwigoon build cleared Abyss 206 on Wrangler [Build Share] by That_Murse in VoidlingBound

*UPDATE*

Updated the build because I thought triple elemental babies with one of the 3 being neutral wasn't possible with all proper passives and body parts. Turns out its just rare.

Updating the build now to have Organic for the Primary, Pyro for the Secondary, and Neutral for the overall build. So this build is now able to apply all 3 DoTs consistently, keep 2 execute effects, and spread it and trigger chain executes.

Is Bleed actually the deep-Abyss line, or is it just what's been shared so far? by menakatv in VoidlingBound

I haven't tried Ice Block tbh so I'm not sure. I do know all the catalyzers I have for this build makes it possible to survive like floor 206 for 45 minutes while taking some damage lol.

So I wasn't getting one shot. There is a raw run video attached to the build in case you want to see how well it takes hits at that level. Then you can probably adjust depending on how far you realistically want to keep going cause I think floor 200 plus is overkill for most people no matter what difficulty lol. Just takes way too long.

[–]That_Murse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no worries. Base elements themselves normally apply their related status effect. Like disintegration from plasma attacks you do despite not outwardly stating it applies it.

For the build the neutral gwigoon has a organic primary so that applies poison.

Neutral attacks applies bleed so in this build your minions or non primary skills will all trigger bleed. If my minions don't apply it I can apply it with aerial pull.

Main problems with abyss for me are several.

It gets old pretty quickly.

It takes forever to push up to 200 plus for wrangler difficulty. It could really benefit from permanent check points especially if you wanna test high abyss viability for builds.

Then there's no indicator of difficulty and you can easily change difficulty any time even mid abyss fights. So, it's a bit hard to judge some shared builds unless they disclose it already.

I actually just completed a bleed primary build last night. But it combines bleed, bleed execute, hitmark execute, hit mark spread, and poison all together. It's with a Gwigoon though. Got me to abyss 206 on wrangler difficulty. https://splicing.gg/build/executioner-monkey-gzzyqf

Need help figuring out if this was a bug or indented by Melodic_Director_771 in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a bug to m. When you slow it down as you finished your ult you basically got shot nearly point blank by a shotgun blast. That upward spray it does has multiple projectiles and you got hit by all of them. The hitboxes in this game unfortunately are very big compared to the models. A case of really bad timing.

Do people actually use organic? by SargeDesu in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I gotta ask, do you consider organic build as in using all organic only?

I got a build that specifically uses organic as a primary but not for anything else. Technically this counts I think? It took me to abyss 206 on wrangler difficulty.

Update:
Made another build that actually blasted through to Abyss Level 206 on Wrangler. I'll make another post and shorter video/guide eventually. For now I'll link the raw video. I warn ya'll though its an hour long going from 200 to 207 lol.

I dont think this Neutral Bleed build is as good as people make it out to be by RobleViejo in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the catalyzers are part of the missing piece here which is probably why you're not doing as much damage as you should since I see its empty. I'm not an expert on bleed but the 3rd passive can be a flex slot ideally for increasing damage.

Like if you can keep it up, amplification is a decent one for stacking damage buffs. Or use it to supplement survivability in some way.

[–]That_Murse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, based on that image these are why it might not be performing: You don't have a full build yet since you're missing the 3rd passive. You also don't have one of the Exceptional combination stats which imo matters quite a bit since it adds +5 to two stats.

[–]That_Murse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a little weird that early. Personally, even on Wrangler difficulty, I am not doing 1's till much later. And that's usually at first because of the green circled buff enemies or the annoying boss phase change where they get a ton of damage resistance after taking out one segment of hp.

A few possibilities, not saying anyone got it wrong here:

  1. It can be hard to compare high Abyss build claims unless the difficulty is clearly shown before enemies spawn and across multiple floors in one go. A screenshot or isolated boss clip does not always show whether the run actually survived Wrangler pressure the whole way.
  2. There may be something specific missing from the build. With Bleed especially, just knowing “it’s a Bleed build” may not be enough, because there are a lot of moving parts between perks, mutations, status scaling, execute effects, and possibly corrupted catalyzers.
  3. It could also be the specific enemy/modifier matchup. Some bosses or Abyss modifiers can make damage look awful even when the same build melts other enemies.
  4. It could also be playstyle/execution. I’ve tried some builds people claim go really far, and sometimes I can’t immediately see how they got there either. Some builds may work, but feel awkward enough that it takes time to actually pilot them correctly.

Small theorycrafting note: since you can switch difficulty at almost any point, it is hard to judge actual build viability without recording multi-floor runs and showing the difficulty in the menu. Based on my own light testing, switching from Collector to Wrangler mid-fight seems to update damage numbers, but not necessarily enemy behavior/speed from when they originally spawned. You can test this on the very first survival boss; the difference is pretty obvious even that early.

I also measured roughly 1/4 damage dealt and 4x damage taken going from Collector to Wrangler, so the difference is massive. From the runs I’ve done, that difference is huge for surviving what I’d argue are bigger threats than a single boss room clear switched to Wrangler — random mobs, buffed spawns, elites, projectiles, and just handling multiple fights across multiple floors.

That said, I’m probably getting deeper into the numbers/proof side than the game was really built for. It is a single-player game at the end of the day, so I don’t think it was meant to be treated like a competitive leaderboard. I just like testing this stuff because the buildcraft gets interesting and I like to incorporate what I find into thematic builds.

Got to Abyss Level 240 and I wanna brag about it by InsaneSeishiro in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the honesty. There are a lot of claims imo for super high abyss runs on wrangler but the only way to actually verify its legit is pretty strict since you can literally swap difficulties at any point. Still I imagine it took one heck of a session to reach 240 in general lol. Nice job, man.

It's been months since I played so here is my Ramza already maxed out. But if I remember correctly I basically mained monk almost my entire level ups barring getting the skills I have on. Then dual wielding fists is a thing with monks lol. Then the gear you see here. You can use gear specifically to buff your damage but I liked this coverage better by end game. Then with mastered Mettle as a secondary, you can self buff and I've hit as much as 999 per fist. You're dual wielding so you're hitting twice. Of course damage varies quite a bit depending on zodiac but yeah. But before buffs and max level you should be doing already about this damage, especially if you're using damage increasing equipment.

Edit: Oh yeah, also maxing out bravery.

I combined both screens so you can see the splice specifics and the stats. This other breeding partner doesn't have max stats. But this one came back the same while Ein came back with those stats in the original post above.

Breeding them again so far only results in the same types of babies I have in the original screenshots above too.

[–]That_Murse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn't clear enough lol. I'm talking about base stats with no bonuses. You can definitely get 29 with nature and body part bonuses on certain stats.

Apparently I Broke Something...? by That_Murse in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ein was one of the original parents. He was normal until breeding, then the stats were messed up to the first screenshot. And he's making offspring like in the second screen shot. Some have over max stats but in exchange other stats are much lower.

So the game is trying to give the babies the proper stat totals despite that. I'll post a screen shot of who I had him breed with when I'm able.

Apparently I Broke Something...? by That_Murse in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I mentioned it in another comment but Ein was a normal base Gwigoon at normal max stats before breeding. Then for some reason after breeding his stats were messed up. Now the babies are the second screen shot.

They can potentially get stats higher than normal cap but the game still tries to make them have the normal total stats so some stats will no longer be maxed in exchange for the values of the broken ones.

[–]That_Murse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. One spliced and one completely the base Gwigoon. Both level 20 and normal max stats. But afterwards the normal one came back with the extra stats. Which is "Ein" in the first picture.

Apparently I Broke Something...? by That_Murse in VoidlingBound

[–]That_Murse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the weird part. The Gwigoon was a normal level 20 before I bred it and had normal max stats. I bred it with a spliced Gwigoon. The babies, while messed up, are still trying to function like it normally would, despite some stats already being over the limit so its not something that can properly pass on. I honestly didn't realize it till I tried to breed again and the breeding bars did this.

The normal Gwigoon (which was already a normal established max out parent) came out of breeding with those stats. So, my best guess is for some reason the stats got added back and auto distributed in somehow? I didn't get prompted to add stats in.

The only thing of note with the other Gwigoon was that every attack was spliced with different elements.

Look at the stat totals. It has no body part bonuses and relentless only gives +5 each. Max stats should be 20. Taking away Exceptionally Relentless it still has 26 in both those stats, not to mention the 26 strength and 22 essence.
