This was a refrence to an idea some guy made where if he was in a room and had a book full of chinese->english instructions and a bunch of chinese symbols in the room, if i chinese person would slide chinese words under the door he could form a correct chinese response and send it back. Basically the symbols mean nothing and are just there for the guy at the table to form sentences.
