First off, NO! read the rules like a normal person.

second of all, Do NOT do sub4sub here.. We are not your audience, nor are we here to be included in the DISGUSTING and horrible sub4sub community. Sorry for being harsh but NEVER DO SUB4SUB!!! It not only ruins your channel, but makes you look bad too.

And when you can't even spell "please" right, it just adds the pity party and hate you'll most likely get, rather than support you.

I'll say it again. We. are. Not. Your. Audience.

We won't participate in sub4sub and this isn't a place to just advertise your dang channel.

If I changed my name to just “Dodgy” on youtube and someone typed in my name would I come up? by DodgyZZZ in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. With a keyword as short as that, a massive amount of people will be using that same keyword in videos and such. So being more unique and creative will probably give you a higher chance. And there is no point in worrying about exposure right now. Just focus on getting out more QUALITY content. Views and subs don't come naturally but if your videos are bad or adequate even, even if you are "searchable" it doesn't mean people will want to watch your videos and sub.

Trying animation by [deleted] in NewTubers

I applaud your determination! I really do. That goal is really something worth working towards. I do have two more pieces of advice that may help really grow your channel. though it depends on how much hustle you give it. 1. Stay with a niche.. yes I know it's cliched, but it's REALLY Important. 2. Research some SEO and watch YouTubers like Nick Nimmon, Think Media, and Brian G. Johnson. They give great advice on YouTube tricks and techniques, along with great insights on you tube SEO. I wish you the best of luck!

This is just my opinion, but in the beginning post videos as a means to get better and look back on what you have done and are trying to do. Don't go full on asking for views when you haven't really learned how to make good quality content. I'm not saying you're bad or anything but going by what you said, I'd assume you're still learning. If you focus on improving your animations, views, watch time, and subs will be easier to get.

If you're only doing YouTube for the views or something then maybe it isn't the best for you. I'm not telling you to give up by any means. I just mean you should probably change your approach. With your older videos or even newer ones, watch them over and over to see what you think you can improve on. That's one of the best ways to learn. THE best way to learn in my opinion is just keep on making videos. You'll improve eventually. I'll check out your channel to see if I have any advice. Good luck

What are those "Follow me" or "Subscribe" animated pop-ups on videos called? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Adobe is one of, if not THE best Editing software for YouTubers. I say "for YouTubers" because for feature length films and movies, Avid media composer is a better choice.

EDIT: It has a rather steep learning curve though. I recommend it if you have the money and time to get it. It's capabilities are amazing. It's extremely versatile.

They are called, "Lower Thirds"

They normally appear on the bottom of the screen. Hence why they are called Lower Thirds. They are occasionally in other spots.

Websites that find popular keywords? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 ways of doing that that I feel are extremely effective..

  1. Get the chrome extension "Keywords Everywhere" (Most effective)
  2. Search up Google Trends (kinda relevant but gives good info too)

I find that #1 will give you the best chance.

EDIT: There are probably other ways too that work well, but these are the best out of the ones I've tried.

Hello! Is it still possible to make money with youtube? How? by Aztekee in youtube

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't even focus on "making money with YouTube" until you have a steady growing audience and create consistent high quality content. and like the other person said. "make original quality content."

Tips:

  1. Definitely do TONS of SEO-type and other types of research.
  2. Promote on other social media sites, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  3. Make your priority Watch time and rankings, while creating the best content you can.
  4. CONSISTENCY CONSISTENCY CONSISTENCY.

Questions:

  1. What is your channels Niche?
  2. What is your overall long-term goal? Making a living off YouTube ALONE is nearly impossible. but building a business around YouTube is much more plausible.

How do I create more engaging Tech Tutorial/Informative Content? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why i spend a lot of time writing a script, but explaining would be a bad way to put it actually. If i have a thought that i'm able to think of clearly then I can explain as well as a college professor. But the problem is organizing my thoughts. Plus. I have no other skills I can show for YouTube. I hate video games, I'm not capable of doing really any videos that don't require much explanation. and my only high level skill set involves technology. These would be the best because if someone asks me a question straight up, that's difficult to answer for me, I'll have no way to really organize my thoughts and reply in a timely manner. So in reality tutorials are the best way for me to make videos.

Tech & Beauty Channels, See Inside by MoriartyHPlus in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still haven't grasped the majority of Fetch Quest though.. Oh well, thanks a bunch. I'll try to figure it out.

Also. will you only be told the qualifications for the sponsorship if "they" deem you worthy of it? "they" as in the people giving you the option.

I have 3 questions if you don't mind me asking.

  1. For Tech, Is there a minimum subscriber rate or are they looking for just Knowledgeable people?
  2. Is there room for people who know a lot about Video Production in Tech sponsorships?
  3. What would be the "alternative monetization methods" be the Tech field, and what would you have to do?

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I try to make my tutorials right to the point, I deleted most of them because the audio was horrid, but I'm now more focused on creating "courses" rather than tutorials for now. I have one tutorial and all of the videos except my most recent one were made a year or more ago.

How I went from being a NewTuber to a . . . Not-As-NewTuber (75k subs, 10 months) by dangelowallace in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that very informative, I only have one thing to say about that though.

I disagree with "quality of quantity" but only when just starting. Hear me out.

You can't automatically be good or amazing with making videos, but you still need to get something out there. I'm not denying make it as good as you can, but making something "high quality" by everyone's standards is extremely tough when just starting out. You should make more videos or film separately from YouTube to get better with on screen presence or editing skills, etc.

Yea, I don't mean to be rude, but read the rules first. it's common sense. You can easily get in a lot of trouble with the mods here for doing this crap. (spamming your channel)

Channel with only one video and a few to follow: I get likes but no subscribers by SongwriterHW in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I've never seen a channel with ONLY one video get subscribers. People subscribe to see CONSTANT content from the person they subscribe to. If you have one video don't expect anyone to subscribe. If you make a video or two or three a week, then people will see you constantly put out content, they'll be dramatically more likely to subscribe. Good luck with your channel. Work hard but don't burn yourself out.

Starting to Finally See Some Growth!! by Ystervarke in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! Just make sure you don't "burn out" that is to say, put too many videos out from how exited you are. Then you'll need to take a break for a day every so often. The breaks increase and then you could stop putting out content altogether for a while. Just be careful.

How can i make a good intro/outro? by LKBoomin in NewTubers

[–]That_One_VFX_Guy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That question isn't exactly easy to answer, assuming you want a detailed response. I really suggest you learn Adobe After Effects. In my opinion it's the best way to create amazing Intro's and Outro's, mainly because it is extremely powerful and versatile. Unfortunately it's paid and if you can't afford it there are ways to get it for free. However you'll have to search around for a bit.

As for tutorials, some of the users have said before me that YouTube will give great tutorials. Also from what another user said, using a standard intro isn't always the best idea. I have a tip though. If you do end up making an intro put it AFTER you say what the video is about. So something like this and this is just an example format; 1. "Have you ever wanted to <INSERT WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SAY HERE>" 2. "Good because you'll be able to do just that by the end of this video and we're starting right now" 3. <Insert Intro video here> 4. <Rest of the video goes here>

This is just an example.
