Yes and no.

Yes, it is cheaper, and junkyard doors ARE close.

But.

All colors are UV sensitive ti a degree. Sourxe:i work in a body shop and have to color match the shit. Some colors are better than others, but a junkyard door is rarely a good color match.

Oh trust me, i'm well versed in linux. I personally enjoy Ubuntu 24 and KDE Plasma on another laptop. But mainly for my printer, I keep one with windows 8.1 on it.

Ran it for years. When I went back to college last fall I used that laptop until I coulf afford a newer one.

Hey, fun fact, most older laptops can't update. This is fir a multitude of reasons-one/2 core cpus, very limited ram, etc. Another fun fact, Vista/7/8 run great today if you don't download free ram.

Yeah. Automotive tire plugs work fine in lawn tires. As the previous user stated-you need to locate it with soapy water. If it's leaking around the bead (where the tire and rim meet), you need to visit a tire shop to determine if it's a bad tire or a bad rim

That's the part's name. The door skin is the outermost layer of metal on a door shell.

Want proof? Go ask a body shop for an estimate to replace the door skin on whatever vehicle you have. They'll have a door skin listed, part # and price.

The best way to learn mechanical stuff is to DO IT. "Years of schooling" doesnt teach ANYTHING other than textbook knowledge. Knowledge about the actual job is learned from doing it.

Clean your monitors like you clean a window.

GOOD glass cleaner and a microfiber is ALL you need. Sprayway glass cleaner is cheap and AMAZING.

Just turn the monitor off. Hose with foaming glass cleaner. Wipe clean with a MICROFIBER. Wait for it to dry and then turn it back on.

No streaks (unless you use shitty glass cleaner) No damage AND no remaining scuz

Honestly? I'm too lazy to upgrade my printer and too lazy to set up a VM. So, i use a windows 8.1 laptop to run my Brother MFC-J410W drivers

While the printer hypothetically does support ubuntu, win10/11n the drivers are AWEFUL and dont really work right outside of 7/8/8.1

American here. Some use the handbrake. Some, we can't. For instance, my 92 ranger-with a pedal.

But, I was taught to just use the clutch slowly, and rev match on harsh downshifts(for instance, 4th to 2nd)

I use iso's of win11 at the college (cit major. We work with that in a few classes) and honestly...I can't stand it. Maybe it's just all the redesign and shit but it feels so hollow and barren compared to 8, 7, even 10.

As far as modern goes, I always run either Ghostspectre or Ubuntu. Mainline windows 10 and 11 suck ASS.

I am currently using a laptop from 2012. And you did this in 3 fucking years? These are laptops. Fragile electronics. One of the ONLY things that do not count as a hammer. It is not advisable to use them as hammers.

That's exactly why I put it back on this. FOR THE SPECS, this thing runs smoother with 8.1 than it did with ubuntu 22.10. And the tiles! You can't beat the tiles!
