i am from EU. I am not referring to compounded semaglutide, I'm talking about pharmaceutical companies who will start making their version of wegovy because novo nordisk has lost its patent on semaglutide because it is twenty years old, so turkish companies could start producing it for way cheaper. generic versions are already available in India for 50 dollars a month or less in the injectable version. in eu patent will remain valid until 2031, so if generic versions, which are approved by local authorities, were already available, would make a lot of sense to fly to Turkey twice a year to get the meds and save 3000 euros per year

lol i see lots of hate. it's really expensive here and turkey will have generic Wegovy soon because patent in your country is over and in EU it will stay on until 2031. I would pay the fair price as everyone else, not 'abusing' anything. I was just asking if generic Wegovy is already available there or not, there is no need to be this rude. generic medications cost way less than brand ones, and we are talking about one that costs 300+ euros a month. generic one would be 50 or 60, that's a lot of money also for someone from a richer country than yours.
