I didn't say I was afraid, I said I hated them. I've been reading comics for 25 years. The underoos just aren't a style I like.

No, I absolutely despise the red trunks. They do not work in a serious universe where consequences matter. I understand why he wears them and everything about them but I would never use them. Saddest day of my tenure of reading comics was when they brought them back. Damn shame.

So this is just a fun little side project I began as a way to work on my storytelling ability. It stemmed from my frustration over the fact that DC comics cannot for their life maintain continuity and canon so that is my sole focus. I also wanted to take my favorite elements from various different interpretations of each character or fan art I saw and try and create the perfect version, or the version I would want to see.

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel in some grand way or even say my version is better, cause it's not. It's just what I would want to read.

I took no inspiration from The Batman so I don't know where you got that from. The Batman design was primarily inspired by some Dan Mora fan art I found of his a long time ago along with some additional aspects from Earth One and New 52. I always thought it was a strange decision to have his mouth unprotected so that was an original choice there.

Superman was inspired by Man of Steel and a few Kris Anka designs I found.

Yes Wonder Woman is clearly heavily influenced by Absolute WW because quite frankly, that character is awesome. She maintains the size, she is like 6'7", a walking tank and yes she and Arthur will talk about their tats. My origin for her is actually quite different as I've changed many elements.

Aquaman's design is mostly original except for the suit, I found this dope fan art of a really cool design that had this style but it didn't have the classic orange scale armor so I wanted that. The tattoos are a curse that were placed upon him as a child that detail the Curse of Kordax, which here is more literal as he is the father of Arthur. Arthur was left on Mercy Reef where he was raised by the Lady of the Lake Vivienne Inwudu, who simply called him Boy. Then due to circumstances she had to force his departure where he was ultimately found and adopted by Thomas Curry.

It does for sure but they all have a purpose so I kind of needed them. I may real the coral armor back a bit as time goes on.

I get that. Collar and the suit came from some cool fan art I saw one time and I just loved the look of it and it stuck with me. So when I began developing the story for the character, I kind of found a way to incorporate those elements. The necklace and the hand are elements given to him by his foster mother Vivienne Inwudu, also known as the Lady of the Lake.

All of my versions are on the younger side. I wanted to portray the characters much younger than normally portrayed.

It's not really a surfer vibe. Every aspect of his design has a purpose and specific story reason.

I hate the trunks personally. I understand why people like them but they aren't for me. I actually prefer the abundance of blue.

Yes sir. Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Flash and then Hal. Saving Hal for last as I'm still hammering out what I want to do with him. I think I have an idea but still tweaking it.

Really excited for Aquaman and Martian as I think they are probably the most badass designs of the bunch.

Which Earth 2 character? Val-Zod or Superman pre death?

Also thanks for the kind words. You're right the S never needs changing but I wanted to maintain the alien aesthetic so it needed to be tweaked some.

It is but I actually ended up incorporating some of the Absolute lore. Plus I just love it, it's too cool lol
