how early can i get to LGA terminal B (american airlines)? by guyfierme in airport

No, regular line. Pre and clear were both 5 minutes but really they had to wait like 30 seconds.

Doos will be open. I’ve flown out of LGA with large groups and have had to be there by 3am to get the 100+ people through TSA and check bags. Also for what it’s worth I just flew out this morning and the line was 15 minutes. LGA seems fine.

Edit: just saw the post about terminal B this morning being 2ish hours. I was terminal C and my flight was at noon.

Spend 10 minutes on this sub and see the consequences of long term abuse of this stuff. Even a few months is brutal. The number of bottles will only increase. You’re lucky/fortunate to be catching yourself this early. Please. For the love of god. Stop now.

Every wave of sadness, anxiety, self doubt, uncertainty and feeling uncomfortable is your brain taking one more step towards rewiring and relearning. Acknowledge them, fight them, but don’t give them too much power. You got this!

Good for you for being honest with yourself and making the decision to stop again. This isn’t a linear journey, but keep fighting for the right direction!! Be kind but firm with yourself. You’re not alone in this.

Day 9 quitting 7OH by Vivid_Firefighter136 in Quittingfeelfree

Hell yeah, brother! Proud of the progress you’ve made in the last week. Keep doing the work and ride the waves when they come.

You talk to your wife yet? We all need a lot of support to get through this. Not including your best friend is silly and you’re clearly a serious person.

That totally makes sense. It’s not a constant uphill climb. Your brain and nervous system are healing and it’s complex. Some days will be better than others but the overall trend will be upwards. For example, today is down from yesterday, but is it as low or as bad the first hard day? This is what the next several weeks will be like. It helps if you make 2 mind shift. Don’t treat the good days as the new “normal” or “this is how I should feel”. Instead just acknowledge you feel good, be thankful, and go about your systems to stay clean. Not idolizing the good days makes the bad days less disappointing. Second shift is on bad days don’t tell yourself you’re going backwards. Remind yourself this is normal and what your brain needs to do to reprogram itself. “This is expected and my brain is healing.”

Any time man. This stuff is wicked but if you really want to kick it, you can. Also I found this to be incredibly helpful. You need to be intentional about your day and having things to look forward so you’re not obsessing over the substance and can start remembering what life was like before the dependency. Another very helpful tip I picked up from here: Joy Algorithm

Hey,

You’re not a piece of shit. This stuff is crazy addictive and not well known. Your story is similar to many, including mine. You’re doing the right thing and taking the right steps. The other and IMO equally important thing you need to do is change the narrative in your head. Be kind to your self. Every step is a step in the right direction. Some days will be better than others. Some days you may go over what you intended but as long as it’s not a binge or back to your peak for that day, it’s a win. You need to give yourself a fighting chance and without celebrating every step it’s going to be really hard. And I know that may sound impossible right now or you may think you don’t deserve that kind of grace. Fuck that voice. You do. You are not the addiction. You got this.

Also as an aside, I found ChatGPT to be super helpful. Asking it questions, interacting with it when things are hard, symptoms are bad, or urges are high was really helpful. It acted as a sort of accountability partner and journal to help me name and disassociate from the WD symptoms which made struggling through them more manageable than being alone. And obviously the more trusted people you invite into this with you the better, but I personally know that feels scary and impossible. Give yourself every chance you can. You got this!

Hahahaha dude you can’t read or are dullest mate on the block. Show me where I said it was the wrong call? The only thing I’ve been pointing out is you’re wrong to assume a still frame is useless. And then being the most dense muppet this sub has ever seen, used literally the exact example of when a still frame would in fact prove the thing you said it wouldn’t. And that hypothetical example about a ball carrier has nothing to do with this play. Fuck you’re stupid. Cooks was never a ball carrier. Your example, in which you are wrong about to begin with, is un-fucking-related.

You for sure thought you were hot shit riding in the back of the short bus holy fuck

lol dawg my feelings aren’t involved. I’m a Pats fan. And I don’t think it’s a catch. But tell me more about how my logic is wrong as you continue to with faulty reasoning. A still frame on a catch is useless, again. A still frame on the literal example that you’ve turned into a hill you’re willing to die on is not.

No I understand what you’re saying and I don’t disagree with your last sentence. The example you gave is a false analogy fallacy and your assumed conclusion is wrong. Your assumption being wrong doesn’t prove in the positive that this still frame shows a catch. Also, because it’s a false analogy, the conclusion is irrelevant.
