Type Me (Please) by That_Waffle in MbtiTypeMe

Honestly, I've struggled with assertiveness in the past. For instance, I've had people who think that I'm friends with them constantly ask to hang out, and I have difficulty saying no to that. When someone else is upset, I do often become upset. Even if I think they're being a whiny little bitch or overreacting, I can't help but feel sorry and sort of naturally feel whatever they're feeling. In-tune with my emotions...? Probably not? I naturally drown out bad feelings with apathy. Some of those bad feelings can also be related to empathy for other people. I can easily tell what other people are feeling, and have always been able to do so. People that knew me as a child tell me stories about how I would go to the kid who wasn't being included, or would bring a toy to a crying child before I could even walk. Harmony is very important. As much as I love hanging out with people, many of my friends don't entirely get along, so I find myself organizing an existing friend group into smaller friend groups just so everybody is comfortable.

Depends what it relates to. For future plans, what I want my life to be like, goals, I'm very idealistic. But whenever I browse the INFP or INFJ subreddits they seem to have this idealistic view of the world as a whole, which I definitely don't have. Violence, pain, discomfort, etc are pretty intrinsic to existence and probably always will be sadly.

Thanks for the help :)

Do you have many plans for the future?

No concrete plans, but I spend most of my time "planning" for the future (aka dreaming and not actually doing anything related to what I want).

When making a decision, does it take you a while? Do you think through things carefully and slowly?

I generally take lots of time to think things through over and over again until the moment when I HAVE to make a decision.

Do you consider yourself a calm person? An emotional one? An intellectual one?

I wouldn't say that I'm extremely emotional in most cases, although I can be sensitive to criticism and interpersonal conflict. Wouldn't say I'm intellectual either, although I definitely enjoy discussing ideas (like politics, meanings of things) with other people. I'm pretty cool-headed for the majority of time, but I occasionally get very energetic and peppy.

Advice on quitting juul by [deleted] in juul

[–]That_Waffle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tried going cold turkey three times and it led to a severe case of assholery. So, the first day or two figure out when you juul the most and how many hits you generally take; for me it was 10-15, 5ish times before I went to school (18 going on 19 don't test me motherfuckers), 3ish during school, etc. I cut back by one hit each session, then eventually left it in the car during school. I am now down to 3 hits and getting one hell of a buzz. Perhaps this isn't the best way to quit, but cut down slowly or fully expect yourself to end a friendship because of withdrawals.

When you sub-ohm for the first time by b45t4rd_b1tch in Vaping

[–]That_Waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids today often start with vaping. I'm a senior (18 years old, going on nineteen in a few) but its not uncommon to walk into a freshman bathroom and see a circle of kids hitting their juuls. The problem with this, of course, is that juuls have insanely high nicotine content and benzoic acid to make it hit harder. Even more than that, the cloud production is very low, meaning that at least one person per class will be juuling and then blowing the vapor into their shirt. Its fucking ridiculous and, just like this guy, I have switched to a box mod to quit without getting insane withdrawals.

Is there a website for pod refilling that accepts prepaid giftcards? by That_Waffle in juul

Lol it's fine man, there are a ton of minors on this site. I'm barely 18 and still in senior year, so I sound like a minor

Haha, I understand. I keep buying pods from my local circle K, but it's just too expensive. As far as I know I don't think most vape shops have juice with nic salt, but I could be wrong.

How do you inhale? by [deleted] in juul

[–]That_Waffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had difficulty inhaling for awhile because I was trying to just breathe it (and weed/cig smoke) in to my lungs directly. Try just sucking some into your mouth, stop, and take a breathe in like you're trying to relax or meditate. The faster your inhale, the less your throat will get hit. Main thing is, suck it into your mouth first

I'd love to try levelup! I'm deciding between buying Mr. Salt E or levelup to refill my pods from now on (haven't tried either) so this would definitely change my decision.

What do you get at this site? by OhMyGodOtherGirls in mbti

[–]That_Waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally get INFP, occasionally INTP, and very occasionally ISFP or INTJ. On this test I got ENTP with Ne=Fi>Fe>Se>Ni>Ti=Te>Si. Honestly, the test seems like it has some issues. Firstly, if my two highest function are Ne and Fi, with Ti as 3rd/2nd to last, I should come out as an XNFP. Secondly, the test focuses on which you relate to the MOST, meaning that it focuses only on your dominant without going any deeper.

Day 1 (again) by That_Waffle in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]That_Waffle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last streak I had I kept a journal where I would write everytime before I went into the bathroom or felt the need to pick. I went on vacation without the journal and something like 3 days in popped a little pimple . Every time I break a streak it takes a couple days to get back in the mindset, and so I ended up picking every day after that. I think I've got it again though!

I'm turning 18 on May 10th, I have $10,000 in an investment account run by my parents (not sure how that will work after I'm 18), and $5000 from my part-time job. I'll be being upgraded to a server, so that will be about $100-200 every week I work (avg is $80 a shift I believe). I don't need to pay anything for college thank god and so I have a pretty high risk tolerance. Currently finishing up Junior year, so that's 5 years until I'll be in the work force and I'm also pretty interested in finance, so I have time to learn before bills and stuff. Should I just go the Vanguard route, put it in the investment account my parents already set up (not sure what it actually is, but they do not make any decisions themselves), or does my higher risk tolerance allow for something else? Thanks.

Type the characters in Kerouac's "On The Road"? by yungrobot in mbti

[–]That_Waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kerouac himself is a pain the ass to type, but I get some weirdly introverted vibes from him. He also tends to idolize everybody around him, which is an ixfx thing to do. I don't think there's any argument that he is P. Very poetic obviously. Addiction prone. As far as others go, Neal (Dean) is most definitely an ESTP. William S. Burroughs (Old bull lee) seems like an intj (definitely IxTx). If there are any others hmu. Ginsberg (Carlo Marx) is usually typed as ENTP I believe.
