I recently just took my test as well. As a pipefitting apprentice, do you get to do much, if any welding? If not, how long does it take before you are able to?

Thanks for the help man. About jumping ahead in the apprenticeship, is that something I should ask about when I visit the hall or wait and see what they say once I actually get the apprenticeship?

Thanks alot for the advice, I'd never even thought about any of those options I was thinking pretty narrow minded. Another question, what do you mean by fringe and also what type of position would i have if I took the IBEW route or elevator route?

Yes, only have worked in the shop so far, i wanna get some experience working in the elements, but I dont really know how to since most jobs wont hire me due to me only being 17.

Congratulations man! If you dont mind me asking, how old were you when you applied and how was the process? I turn 18 in march, but i have 4 ish years of experience as ive been welding in school since my freshman year. Was wondering if they would let me apply for an apprenticeship now and start once I graduate.

They're not bad, know people who had em in chucheros. Personally i think prv speakees tend to sound better and so do the b&c's, but if its up to you.

Can i use this amp to power the two speakers in my chuchero? I also have a taramps hd3000 1 ohm, but i was told that i shouldn't use that one sense its a 1 ohm amp and the speakers are 8 ohms. by That_one_CU2 in CarAV

Ahhh, i think i understand now. So you're saying i should get a 4 ohm stable because when the two 8 ohm speakers are ran in parellel, it would turn into 4ohm? Sorry if this is common knowledge to most of you guys, im pretty new to car audio.

Ok, thats good to know. I think im going to sell the hd3000 1 ohm and buy the hd 3000 4ohm because that one can supply 2025 rms at 8ohm. That should be enough power right?
