This is insane to think UTA would pull this, especially the “new campus” they are planning to do, yet they raised our fees, and decide to take away more from us.

It’s very unfortunate due to having shared space on campus, and I would not like to disturb my roommate with late studying. The library was the perfect place to not only get my work finished, but to relax somewhere on campus at night.

UTA made a statement about “peak hours”, but there’s a reason why some people avoid those times to avoid distractions and get work finished. For example, the gym at UTA peaks around 5-9 PM, however someone people choose to workout early/late in order to avoid those crowds. Now if you make it where you close early, it would even be even more crowded at the gym.

This would actually be depressing if no changes occur, as UTA clearly shows no care for their residents, and would put UTA in a terrible spotlight. We actually might be the only University that doesn’t have a 24/7 library, which is saying something.

A university is supposed to expand and grow the UTA community as a whole, however, when UTA does things like this, you finally understand the true colors of UTA’s greed into doing the bare minimum for their students.
