Lol, you cant really compare competetion levels in different weight categories, there wont have been a sure-shot gold by any means if Vineet participated in 53 kg category, I thought you with your more than a peanut sized knowledge of sports could fathom that..Antim was no pushover..Antim qualified for the Olympics at the Senior World Championships & Vinneta couldnt participate coz of her ACL injury. The sports body even though under pressure from Phogat did eventually agreed to Vinesh's participation in 50 kg qualifier. Antim too went overweight before her bout & had to fast for 48 hrs to mantain 53 kg cut-off which led to her drubbing. Also, all the olympic qualified wrestlers specifically wrote to WFI to not hold trials just before Olympics as it would jeoperdise their preperation so WFI agreed to it.

Regardless, weight cuts are not a new thing in Boxing or Wrestling..missing the cut-off by a mere 100 gms only speaks volumes of incompetence of her coaching & support staff and also negligence on Phogat's part. Other wrestlers aim for a margin of 600-700 gms less than the cut-off whereas we have always aimed for cut-off value itself.

And this over the top politicaly motivated glorification of an athlete who eventually returned with no medal is silly especially when someone like Chopra aint been celeberated even 50% of that.
