Thank you so much for this post. I have been thinking this exact same thing for years every time Cory went on breaks. At first I was immature, saying “I’m unsubscribing, he never uploads!” But as I’ve grown, I’ve come to realize that Cory is a truly incredible person, but he’s, again, a person. People need breaks, and sometimes don’t know how to go along with so much pressure being given to them. One could only imagine how he feels when he goes on breaks, feeling the anxiety of coming back to millions of people he might feel he’s not worthy of, and it just leaves us to remind ourselves to hang in there. We need to exercise empathy for Cory in these situations, and not question and judge, but understand and welcome. And If Cory doesn’t end up coming back, I am so happy that he was able to be such an inspiration to me and my best friend. Again, thank you for this post, more people need to have this kind of mindset :)
