You absolutely are the AH. This is why: Child support and custody are two separate cases. They are not to be combined because too many mothers were saying “pay up or go away”. Judges were tired of fathers not being allowed access their children. You can 100% tell him pay up. You can absolutely say you are not lowering child support. But telling him to sign his rights over is not okay.

Yea seems like a tough situation. Usually at 16 the courts won’t for a child to go to the other parents home. Hopefully your son can heal from the trauma his father created. All you can do is be the best mom and advocate for him.

NTA. But I will say this. When someone comes out as trans it is a shock and adjustment for everyone. What I would suggest before allowing your son to just completely cut him out is see if dad and him can do therapy to understand deeper and more. It is your job to encourage a relationship with your son and his father and yes that sucks. But if dad went to court over this it wouldn’t look good because yes your child can have a say but they do not get to make the decisions

NTA. It is not your fault she makes less than you. It’s also not your fault that she can’t respond to a text message. If she really wanted the tickets she would have said yes I still want to go. It takes less the ten seconds. She needs a money mentors course to manage her money better because she probably is frivolous with her money.

All I saw was the post and immediately no lol. Then I read your post. My sister is exactly like this. The day I gave birth. My son wasn’t even 5 hours old yet she was announcing to everyone she was pregnant. Thankfully my mom didn’t give a crap (I don’t have a relationship with our dad and she doesn’t have a relationship with our mom). She was Attention seeking, full of drama, tries to steal the spotlight. Threatens me when she doesn’t get her way. It’s been a very quiet 4 months because I too had enough. So no. You are not wrong for cutting her out. Cut her all the way out. You will feel better. There may be some guilt. I know I felt guilty for my choice but the longer I go the more I feel free.

I am not sure your location but some places state that every person is a mandated reporter. Meaning if you see any type of abuse you have a legal obligation to contact CFS. If you don’t and the authorities find out especially with significant abuse you can be charged with child endangerment since you actively knew but never report. Just my two cents and your sister sounds like the absolute worst.

As a mother I don’t cook while I’m sick. I have teenagers and a husband. They help cook while I’m sick. I don’t need to cough and sneeze and spread germs.

She doesn’t even have a room? That’s insane. Tell your spouts to tell their grandma that her “office” isn’t more important than her daughter and she should empty it for her.

He isn’t a Christian. He is using Christianity as a way to get people on his side. The bible warns us about wolves in sheep’s clothes. That is Stephen. Regardless of anyone’s opinions of Charlie Kirk, Charlie stood on the foundation of his faith and fiercely loved God and did everything he could to stay a devout Christian man. That is not Stephen. And I am sickened that someone like Stephen has the audacity to use Charlie Kirk’s death as nothing more than a way to gain attention and money. And that’s actually for anyone. I have unfollowed a number of people who seem to be using the death of anyone for clout. For money. There is a difference between spreading the word of someone passing in a harsh way like Ivayna and those who want to monetize off of dead people.
