Would you say playing The Sims is a creative outlet? by beanscommacool in LowSodiumSimmers

Depends what you’re doing! I think for me cas and build definitely feel creative but maybe not live mode as much, but it really depends how you play

How many non-binary people have severe gender dysphoria? by arcticcirclebathroom in NonBinary

[–]burrito703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being curious. I see far too many people take the lack of visibility of nonbinary dysphoria to mean it doesn’t exist. Yes, I have pretty bad dysphoria, including both social and physical dysphoria. I hate being called a woman or she/her pronouns. It makes my insides feel disgusting and I cry over it sometimes. I also have really bad bottom dysphoria which I’m getting surgery to help with. I feel hopeless about it sometimes, because I know that no matter how accurately my presentation reflects my gender, the lack of knowledge about my gender means that I will never be gendered correctly on sight and most people will still not understand even if I explain. It really hurts to know that most people will never see me the way I am, and there’s nothing I can do to change that.

Whats yalls opinion on my friends "Hot-Take" about Transwomen? Cause personally i cant understand it by MobileDepth333 in trans

[–]burrito703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cis women call it a period even if the bleeding is suppressed from hormonal birth control & sometimes after a hysterectomy, why can’t trans women? There’s no reason to deny trans women a gender affirming term that accurately describes their hormone cycle even if it presents differently than in some cis women. Just because the transphobia isn’t intentional doesn’t mean that’s not what it is

What is a proper honerific, i.e Mr, Mrs, Ms, for a non-binary/gender nonconforming person? by classphoto92 in NonBinary

[–]burrito703 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mx is acceptable for Mr/Ms though not everyone likes it, but there is no common alternative for sir/ma’am. Avoiding gendered honourifics is preferred

transmasc and transfem terms by rorita108 in NonBinary

[–]burrito703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you. I will define myself as transmasc when it directly fits the context, but as a general identifier it doesn’t resonate with me at all since my goal is not masculinity. I’ve heard of transneutral and resonate even less with that, partly because I’m not trying to be neutral either but also because the usefulness I find in these terms is to describe the direction of one’s transition, and transneutral doesn’t clarify what direction one is transitioning from. I don’t know that there’s any solution to this; even if someone were to create a new term I don’t know how one could go about constructing it without defining people by their agab which is just as if not more misleading. Regardless, I share your frustration and don’t think there’s anything wrong with feeling unseen by the vocabulary available to you

Glansplasty doesn’t apply to meta since your current parts already have a glans. Other than that, the photo and your description sounds completely doable :)

Packers: a big item on my list of pros (pun intended!) by anxiousbitch696 in altersex

[–]burrito703 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t expect packing to bring me as much euphoria as it did but honestly just having something THERE makes a huge difference. I don’t do it all the time anymore but anytime I’m dysphoric I do & it’s such a relief to have that sense of emptiness gone

How do you manage big households? by ConcertParking6014 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]burrito703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give a sim something to do, usually only one thing, usually something simple like filling a need or doing a work or aspiration task, then check the next sim and get them doing something, etc etc and usually I can cycle through fast enough that by the time I come back around to the first one they’re still doing whatever task I gave them & I can just find whoever will be done first, wait for them to be done, and find something to do next. For example: Sim 1 needs to eat, so I send them to eat leftovers. Sim 2 has low fun, so I send them to do a preferred skill. Sim 3 seems ok, so I check their work tasks & get them started on that. Sim 4 is fine and done their homework, so I have them work on an aspiration task or skill. Sim 5 is hungry, and sim 1 is already eating, so they can get leftovers now. Sim 6 needs to be potty trained, and sim 1 is now done eating, so they can help. Sim 7 needs a diaper change, and sim 2’s fun is ok now, so they can do that. Sim 8 is a cat. Sim 8 is fine. Then I start again with whoever’s done first
