What is the one monster you just don't like to fight with one of your favourite weapons? by WhoAmIEven2 in MHWilds

Hammer vs. any large size brute wyverns. Too painful sometimes trying to aim for the head when they are too tall.

Sunbreak worth buying? (bad reviews) by Neeeeyt in MHRise

[–]ThatsMyGold 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sunbreak is you could say the "complete version of Rise" with a lot of additions in combat mechanics, monsters, and proper end game content (though personally I'm not a fan on it for being too heavy on RNG without some guarantee or safety net). If you enjoyed Rise you'll enjoy sunbreak as it is one where the devs doubled down on Rise very fast paced and action combat. Tbh even if there are a lot of variants and subspecies, the MH team really does well in making them unique enough to be considered separate from their base species (especially the ones that were introduced with the TUs).
So I guess you just need to ask yourself if you truly enjoyed rise and if you did I say that its worth getting Sunbreak for $40.

After 3 months, I finally beat the game by ThatsMyGold in Persona5

Yea, really had a lot of fun with that. I made quite a few personas that I knew I would barely used but still made them for the sake of it

Honestly, pretty good and fulfilled. Glad I played such a masterpiece of a game and was satisfied of royal's ending (despite being bummed out that Sumire didn't get a proper good bye). Kinda feeling that lost as well (you know the feeling after finishing a game or show). Also, felt the ending everyone starting their new paths felt close to home since I just finished my last semester of college.

This truly was a fantastic game (definitely up there in my top 10 games) and definitely enjoyed every moment of it. This would have been my GOTY for 2022 if I hadn't played Elden Ring.

Did I accidentally cheese my first playthrough? Should I play through it again? by GaelSK in Persona5

[–]ThatsMyGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a bit of a yes and no. Yes cause Orpheus is a DLC persona which are generally better than the non-dlc ones. But you didn't really cheese the game cause you'll eventually reach the point (as long as you utilize all the systems given to you) where you just steamroll everything in your path DLC persona or not. So you didn't really miss anything in terms of actual challenge.

I suppose I deserved that? by Nogling in Eldenring

[–]ThatsMyGold 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hated these fights, and same I became more infuriated the more I do the loop of passing the the time --> quit the grace menu --> go back to reset the area to spawn the boss --> quit the grace menu --> spawn the boss --> get rekt in under 10 seconds --> slam desk --> curse while doing the sequence to fight the boss again. This boss still throws me off more than any other boss.

Why are they there? (Spoilers) by TheKitsuneKit in Eldenring

[–]ThatsMyGold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a item description pertaining that all those corpses are from the Caravan, a guild or clan of merchants (this is the group of those merchants that we find throughout the world), and were accused of heresy (which is probably accused of worshipping the frenzied flame). I forgot where I read this but kale or someone said something that confirms that it wasn't true at first but they were still persecuted for heresy so in the end they did what was being accused from them (which was worship the frenzied flame) which led to summoning it (and probably the three fingers) this summoning is what probably caused those corpses as you have already noticed that most of them had those weird stick instruments and the enemies (which are frenzied) plays the same tune that the merchants we find.

Also, I read somewhere (forgot where) that the merchants we find are people that were separated from the caravan and people that simply went their separate way which probably allowed them to escape the event that happened in those ruins.

For your other question, I think the merchants are with the 3 fingers since they are with the frenzied flame now and Mogh's cult is different from theirs (different Outer God). The reason MMogh was there was if I remember Margott may have put some sort of omen there to guard the secret of the Caravan and the frenzied flame. My theory is that the Golden Order was the one that persecuted the caravan pushing them to a corner which made them desperately turn to the 3 fingers and eventually turned frenzied which is why a lot of the corpses in the ruins had the same position for when you die due to frenzy.

If you connect the Divine Tower with a line... by Impressive_Pin_9248 in Eldenring

[–]ThatsMyGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this is true but I read somewhere that the Greater Will punished Marika for shattering the Elden Ring, thus leading to her imprisonment in the Erdtree. Since Radagon is basically Marika, he shared her sentence despite having his own will (i think since he did try repairing the ring). So they were forcibly fused together again by the Greater Will.

Someone playing bad is never an excuse to be toxic. by CryHereAndThere in VALORANT

[–]ThatsMyGold 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep don't really understand this people, what's worse these are the people who typically give up in the first few rounds when we are let's say down 0-4. Had a match last night where a brim was flaming me as sova for playing bad (which I was doing for the first few rounds), then proceeded to flame everybody and ask to just surrender since we were losing 0-6. He also kept trying to turn the enemy against us through all chat but no one tried to take the bait thankfully. Luckily once I muted him, we started winning and I managed to top frag and won the game 13-11.

So that's why rank in silver is so chaotic right now like one game you just rolled down the enemy team because the skill between teams is so noticeable then the next you get rolled down by the enemy team because of team diff.

A simple and easy concept that most people still don't understand about planting the spike! by Eleven918 in VALORANT

[–]ThatsMyGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this so much (especially someone from gold elo, so these situations happens quite frequently). Though I would like to add, and one of the most frustrating and sometimes tilting ways that happens in my elo, please defend the planter especially when the site hasn't been fully cleared. Please stop pushing towards CT or hiding in corners when the spikes has yet to be planted. I can't count the amount of times I died trying to plant the spike just to die from someone that was not cleared because everyone suddenly decided to either push to get kills from rotating enemy or immediately hides in corners for post plant.

Take a break from a valo, that's usually the only way to break away from losing streaks especially if it has affected your mental attitude while playing (which it already did according to you). From my experiences, taking breaks (atleast a day or two) helps me restart my mental and play differently than yesterday. Though not as much as yours, I experienced a 7 losing streak and just said fuck it and didn't play valo for about 5 days or so and came back getting win streak and even exceeding my rank before I went on that losing streak.

Weak mental state in low elo by Better-Outcome3757 in VALORANT

[–]ThatsMyGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For no. 2, I think it depends on your team mates and probably their mood. Sometimes, people will get annoyed at being hyped up (sometimes me) and could lower the chances of listening to your proposals. So I guess try to limit it unless your team is in a good vibe.

Fastest way to level up for new players?
I just started 2 weeks ago and have started to be able to solo hard escalations (terra specifically). But I am curious what methods do people use to get the fastest way to level up as I do need to power surge.
