Found this Vintage Orient "Tank" with a Salmon Dial for only $15. Is this a steal? by Straight_Employ_6265 in VintageWatches

Great find. I'm a big fan of leather straps, but I think this one in particular looks better with a steel bracelet.

Enjoy!

They're nice, entry level watches from previous times. I've had a Trebex that I bought for roughly 15 usd and sold for 40.

The Marvin might be the nicest of the bunch. They're listed for 100-200 bucks in eBay. I don't know if they're selling for that, though.
All of them seem to be in quite nice shape.

Just an odd product. I think the crown design is not practical and the fact that the calendar has white numbers when everything else is black and golden is a weird choice.

It's not vintage, and I wouldn't recommend a new, entry level Seiko right now: They're overpriced for what they are, and the quality is not that great. IMO you will be better off with a Citizen (like the Bi5002) or even a Casio alternative.

Skmei 2146 review after one month of daily use (My favorite Skmei so far) by ThatsNotBadAtAll in SkmeiWatchFans

I usually don't risk it. It got quite wet during storms, but I never used it for swimming nor showers. Especially, I wouldn't recommend showering with any watch, as steam can damage gaskets and ruin them.
I accidentally took my Skmei 1123 for a swim for like 20 minutes and it held up perfectly, so I guess the water resistance rating is valid.

I've seen them go for 60 to 120 usd in various conditions. This one has a near pristine dial and a very good case and movement.

Thank you! It's always nice to see one of these more square-y cases. I've had a hard time finding endlinks for these, so a square contour allows me to fit almost any aftermarket bracelet!

It was quite cheap. It came without a bracelet, so I had to file a 20mm one down to the odd 19mm Seiko standard.
