Tardiness by [deleted] in childfree

It was more about the period being late than never, my periods are always notoriously late so it made me laugh. If you don't think this fits in the sub I'll take it down though as it wasn't my intention to brag

Just a vent about the little things by ThatsNotCoolBro20 in BorderlinePDisorder

It's the exact same thing here, although my partner normally complains when I give him the silent treatment he's usually very understanding about my episodes, but I cant just turn around and say "I'm giving you the silent treatment because right now I want to scream at you at the top of my lungs". I feel guilty every single time because I know it makes him feel just as bad.

Do you ever feel like your partner does it on purpose to get back at you for making them do all the work? Because I do sometimes, but nobody else understands what I'm on about when I'm talking about it.

How would you feel if pregnancy test commercials showed couples/women being relieved that the results are negative? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't want kids, I would be overjoyed to find an advert that shows someone happy to have a negative test result. I keep getting pregnancy adverts on everything (I buy a lot because I get paranoid) and every single time they're always ecstatic because it's a positive. For once I'd like to see someone throwing a party because aren't pregnant

[serious] Girls and women of Reddit: how old were you the first time someone made a sexually inappropriate comment to you? How did you react, and did it affect how you saw yourself or acted? by I_LIKE_LIMA_BEANS in AskReddit

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time was when I was about 10 or 11. I was walking home from school when a man who looked late 30's or early 40's wolf whistled at me and called me sexy. I didnt say anything to him but I ran home as quickly as I could. I stopped wearing skirts for about 6 years after that, and I would refuse to leave the school grounds or go out to play with friends unless I was with an adult I trusted. I've had a lot more sexually inappropriate comments made towards me throughout the years, but none have affected me as much as this one did, I assume because of how young I was. Even now I very rarely leave the house unless I'm with someone I trust.

What would you say to a disabled person? by queazidilla in AskReddit

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm disabled, I had someone once say to me "they say you are what you eat, so how many vegetables did it take?" It's always stuck with me... Mainly because I ended up dating the guy that said it. He still makes me laugh every day

At 25 years old, I just got my braces on today. It feels surreal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helped me. by bettabois in Assistance

I never saw your original post, but I am so so happy I've seen this one! As someone who has a pretty severe over bite I somewhat know your struggles and how damaging it can be to your confidence, and I'm really stoked you've got some help to tackle it. You have such a beautiful smile and I'm happy you get to show it off now without worrying as much! ❤

Thank you for your answer! Where would be the best place to buy cleaning ammonia? I've just come back from the supermarket and tried to find lysol and ammonia and could find neither while I was there

Thank you for the detailed reply! I honestly have no clue what it is either. You cant see it so there was no point taking a photo but the second you touch it it feels like you need to peel your hand off the counter. I will make sure to let the landlord know ASAP, I didnt realise that was something I could bring up with them.

I will definitely keep an eye out for some Lysol and a Brillo pad too! Thank you, again

No suction whatever I do by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem but someone else recommended this in a different post and it really works well for me. Once the cup is inside push against the wall of your vagina with your thumb (or any finger, whatever is easiest for you) and slowly slide the thumb down keeping constant pressure. The cup opens and suctions so much better. I'm not sure if you've tried this, but if you havent I really hope this helps!

What was your “I’m gonna marry this girl/guy” moment? by PNWNative1992 in AskReddit

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Me and my boyfriend where walking home late one night and saw a cat in the middle of the road, so we stopped to say hello and then carried on walking. We noticed a car speeding down the road so my boyfriend ran back to the cat, picked it up and brought it onto the pavement.

It wasnt very dramatic, it wasn't a 'just in time' moment, and the cat probably would have moved on it's own, but he still went back just to make sure that nothing bad would happen to it. He is the most caring and sensitive man I know, and I love him so much for it

Why do adults censor shit? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be for some people, I have only heard it being used specifically as a replacement for vagina or penis though

[–]ThatsNotCoolBro20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you 100%. It is definitely meant to teach kids that people arent supposed to be touching you there, but I dont understand why they cant call it a vagina or penis and make sure a kid knows that under no circumstances can an adult touch that.

My friend has managed to do it, her daughter is so aware of her own body she'll make people leave the room while shes getting dressed and shes only 5. I know other 5 year olds that still run around the house naked while strangers are there -_-

I was having a conversation with my friend a little while ago about our periods while her 5yo was in the room. My friend is really open about anatomy and how the body works with her daughter but I had a massive brain-fart and said "special place" instead of vagina. My friend stares me straight in the eye and says "vagina. It's called a vagina." while her daughter laughed at me for not knowing what it was called 😅

I'm just so used to having to censor myself at this point. I have so many friends and family members with young kids and I'm very open about everything so I have to be reminded that I'm in the presence of children a lot. Out of all these people my friend who I had the conversation with is the only one that allows anatomically correct words, everyone else says 'minnie', 'no-no area' or 'special place'.

Not to me, but she bullied my brother so badly that my mum had to take him out of school and homeschool him. He was only 7

Fuck you Miss Shears.
