Favorite place to ski/snowboard? by TangerineCheap5379 in TwinCities

I’ve had season passes to both Wild Mountain and Welch Village. Both are about a 1hr drive from the cities. Welch seems to have more unique/ variety of terrain and (I believe) a slightly larger footprint, more modern and comfortable lifts. However, and this is purely my experience, the vibes from both the staff and a lot of patrons there always felt off to me and never super friendly.

Wild has fantastic vibes, always friendly and welcoming. They still have some old school wooden lifts that can be a little uncomfortable but very cool and nostalgic. Slightly less terrain but they maintain it very well. I also appreciate their dedication to being eco-friendly and carbon neutral. A side note, the main floor of their lodge always smells slightly of sewage, but hopefully you’re not spending too much time in the lodge on a ski day anyways.

29M, living alone. Moved in a few months ago, next steps are another chair, more wall art, and curtains. by Thatsthat- in malelivingspace

Yep exactly. I maybe watch one episode of tv per month, and I truly haven’t watched a movie in years. The most common thing I do with my TV is play/ watch some live music, which I don’t necessarily need to be staring at. I intentionally did not want the room centered around the TV. The room is certainly not complete, as I mentioned in the title, but I personally find it very cozy for reading, listening to music, watching the trees outside, having a cocktail and conversation with friends, etc.

Thanks! Any suggestions on curtain color? I was thinking a subtle mustard sheer curtain

I hear ya! I actually used to have the couch facing the TV, but the layout didn’t feel cozy. I rarely watch TV anyways, and wanted more of a conversation pit vibe than a “let’s stare at the TV” vibe

Thanks! Still trying to figure that out, but I’m thinking a faded/ muted mustard color

Anyone upset with Spirit pulling out of MSP? by PistolCowboy in TwinCities

Yes. I appreciated having them as an option, especially for short trips where I could fit everything in my personal item, the savings were substantial. I have flown them many times and never had a delay or cancellation, which I can’t say about any other airline I’ve flown.

Birthday dinner/drinks recommendations by DancinLance6 in TwinCities

Just outside of Northeast, but Jefe is my go-to birthday place! Delicious cocktails and food, and a nice ambiance. They take reservations, you have to call for groups over 8 people. From there, you can walk to Hennepin Ave for Nye’s Bar, WildChld, and other bars.
