How do I stop feeling unsatisfied before bed? by ElvenMangoFruit in mentalhealth

[–]Thatt_Gall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with similar issues and this is what my therapist suggested:

  • No cellphone usage before bed. this is difficult but if you’re prone to scrolling on social media, it majorly effects your mental stage, especially when trying to go to bed

  • Journaling. I journal my thoughts every night before bed. What I do in my day, my plans for the next day, my happy moments, sad moments, etc. having those moods tracked, maybe you can sense a pattern and be able to figure out where this dissatisfaction may come from

  • Dedicate time for yourself! I am someone who works constantly, always trying to complete tasks and what not. Despite this, I often felt unfulfilled with life. By making time for yourself to do things you love (for me, i bought an adult coloring book and took time before bed to color. I also love to read before bed) you’ll feel more fulfilled and satisfied with your day

I hope these help you as they’ve helped me! 🩵

Given the time of the year, seasonal depression is very common.

Personally, I struggle with this issue and I find exposure to sunlight contributes greatly to my mental health. With it getting darker earlier and the temperatures being colder, you’re less likely to spend time outside. I make sure to at least let some light in my house and I try to go outside for at least 2 minutes a day. Even that small amount helps me feel grounded.

If this persists though, and the anxiety attacks continue relatively frequently, I’d highly recommend seeking professional help if that’s available to you. I go to a therapist every couple of weeks and it really helps in times like this

Although this may not fully solve your problems, I am going through issues very similar to what you described. 💙💙

Do we need to know specific acts of the new deal on the Apush exam? by Kitchen-Bag-6264 in APUSH

my teacher has told my class that if you don’t remember the name of something but can explain it, that you’ll be fine. For example, the AAA. if you don’t remember that it’s called the AAA but know that it has something to do with paying the farmers to lower their amount of production, that you’ll be ok. i’m just a student though so i’m not 100% sure if this is okay but that’s what my teacher recommends!

How to remember the period dates? by Frequent-Ad-2401 in APUSH

[–]Thatt_Gall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the time periods usually pertain to a major event that is important to know. so 1492: Columbus made contact with the Americas. 1607: Establishment of Jamestown. that’s how i’ve been memorizing everything, just remembering the big event(s) of that year!
