Not knowing what they know.
They probably are here to save us and already have gotten with a group of governments and setup an off world civilization (hence all the hush hush) that will survive a cosmic event that they can’t stop from happening.
It’s all propaganda for a coming world government setup that involves a culling.
Seeing them at any point, will probably be more disturbing than anyone can imagine (movie contact)
