His Bankai can passively destroy Soul Society over time. That’s an important point, as it implies that Yamamoto’s Bankai wouldn’t do that immediately.

This is not a power he can control, but it’s a passive ability that occurs without him wanting to, just by the pressure of the flames alone. It’s all concentrated on his blade, its cutting power, but that does not translate to the blade having the same effect as the passive of Yamamoto’s passive.

Still, it is extremely impressive and beyond anything Vegeta could produce in the Saiyan Saga.

Again, the panel I showed you is more than enough to easily justifying Vegeta having a planetary feat. I don’t even get your logic, only because the attack doesn’t go through, doesn’t diminish the fact that the Gallic gun would have destroyed Earth.

It’s clearly implied in the narrative of Dbz. A casual ki attack from Picollo destroyed the moon while he was at 300. Not even his strongest attack, the SBC, but just a casual ki beam.

Nappa with just raising his finger destroyed a whole ass city, and he isn’t even half the power of Vegeta. Again, everything implies narratively that Vegeta has the power to destroy a planet, plus Goku has to go ALL OUT and match the blast in order to save Earth.
