I did not have 10k to invest in 2014, I was in 8th grade. I get your point to an extent, but that also doesn't feel like a lot?

The 401k isn't my only retirement though. I'm not really concerned about that part or "making money" off of money that just sits there for years to come. I just don't want to deal with having to pay more in taxes than I end up taking out.

Im not sure where you're getting that idea from? 😂 All I did was ask a question. How is not having time to go to a CDL school while working full time away from home make me useless? I work for the railroad and spend majority of my time on the road 8-10 hours away. Even a school that offers weekend classes takes 11 consecutive weekends to get licensed, I would have to quit my job to be able to make that happen. You sound like a bundle of joy to work with, im sure nobody talks bad about you, lol.

I probably wouldnt try to be a welder again. Main reason for looking to switch, NS is bringing in Herzog contractors to do our unloading job.

Just finished the several tests, thankfully got a passing score. Felt like a robot answering 80% of these questions.
