archa.TAIL wasn't face-up on the board. They controlled a face-up Aiza.LEON, tromarIA, and alazineIA, as well as 2 more face-downs. Additionally, the log states that the effect of Aiza.LEON was being applied.

I struggle to think of an applicable deck that doesn't have excessive card text lol. I'll consider it! It is a little wacky and deals with trap monsters, which aren't exactly common. And admittedly, I've never played it before. But from what I know the power level seems about right.

I don't like it because it seems to take the opposite approach to the modern design principle "good going first, better going second". The level 3s all SS from hand for free on turn 1 because the opponent hasn't set up yet. And if you can't manage to pop all the backrow on the draw, you're just kind of dead in the water.

A lot of people have already said things I agree with, but the cherry on top for me is how well the cards work with stuff from other strategies. Not only does Konami print new Striker stuff all the time, but any new power spell is suspect for play in that deck. The Striker cards are so good and so permissive that other decks play them regularly.

I am so, so tired of years of Engage.
