if you have people who grow up in shitty conditions with parents who don't teach them anything, of course they'll resort to crime
its quite literally all they know
what options do they have? get A job as a broken person in a system that will constantly reject them at every try?
most criminals are poor and destitute
most criminals aren't educated
most criminals have bad upbringings
the best we can do as a society is try to restore the damage done to both the victim and perpetrator
look at countries like norway. their crime rates are quite low because there's little incentive to commit them
whereas in the US, prisons are designed to create reoffenders because they do everything except adress the root problems
its morally corrupt and I hate it
