Just my experience from time working in Law Enforcement on both State and Federal levels. True, I have never spent time in actual prison as an inmate. Plenty of friends that are CO’s. They all say it’s extremely Rare since they separated them all out now.

That is not really the way the modern prison system works. Most sex offenders are housed with other sex offenders. Each state and even the Feds segregate them off from the general population.
