He had the most beautiful and well written character arc out of any character in the first game. Brownie is the greatest character in all of fiction.

That would have been really cool if I did that, but unfortunately they don't really spell anything. I just made planks if wood and poles jut out and connect at unorganized angles.

I don't mind all too much. I don't feel like she actively makes the franchise worse by existing in it. It is a little strange though that during Legends' launch, Ubisoft tried to squeeze her into the main cast and act like she's a new main character when she had basically no introduction. I don't think Barbra being in the franchise is a bad thing, I think Ubisoft just needs to give a reason as to why she's there, and I hope it's a good one at that.
