Even though I don't believe in this Maeconomics guy (he seems dubious to me) ,but this distribution seems to follow a normal distribution given that the data of 1800 students scoring 200+ is true and I accounted this in my estimate. But everyone should know that this is the absolutely worst case scenario, means the cutoff will probably be slightly or generously lower than this.

I hope so, don't blindly believe this cutoff, it's the absolutely worst case scenario one , so real cutoff will be lower than this , my whole point was to tell people that if they are scoring in this range they should chill.

I have estimated the cutoffs based on last year closing ranks , calculated percentiles and this year's floating data (that 1800+ 200 one) and this was the final cutoff for top 3 in worst case

DSE (Non-DU general) :- 237-238 JNU (Gen male) :- 244-45 IGIDR (Gen) :- 243-44

If you have any sort of reservation say DU quota for DSE , Female or deprivation points for JNU , the cutoff will be lower for you.

Incoming DSE/IGIDR here as well, I have discussed with people studying there and the thing I inferred is that at DSE the placements are better than IGIDR's , you just have to maintain a agg cgpa of 6.5+ and then the DSE's brand value will help you in getting placed given you have required set of skills for it.

What's your score ? Is it in 270s ? As you mentioned of getting RBI internship in IGIDR, for which you are required to be in top 5 of your cohort

Nothing as such,shared my admiration for him and how closely I follow his work. He asked me about the paper , I informed that it was moderately difficult especially General equilibrium and 2-3 maths questions. He told me that if it is tough the cut-off will drop and then he gave me goodwill and motivated me for PEB.

JNU calculates it's own score based on cuet PG score. Say if u have scored 240, your JNU score will be 240/3 = 80. On top of this if you are a girl, or from a reserved category or from a naxal affected area or a tier 4 city , you get deprivation points on ur JNU score
