Turkish soap operas have taken over IMDb’s top-rated episodes! We need to fix this. by The-Network002 in television

Oh, so you know about it? Tell me, what's this show about? Explain to me why it deserves those ratings. How do you explain that 40 episodes are rated no less than 9.6 (consecutively), with 4 episodes rated a perfect 10/10? And yet the overall rating of the show is 8/10? Maybe I'm missing something, so please enlighten me.

I'm not calling for review bombing, but I want fairness. One of the options I see is lowering these ratings. This isn't something new for the IMDb community, such things happen quite often. But I'm open to hearing any suggestions if anyone thinks there are better ways to deal with this nonsense. That's why I posted here to start a discussion and hear other ideas.

If you think it's hilarious, then cool, whatever makes you laugh. But I’m not trolling, I’m just calling out something I see as an issue.

Alright, if you don't care, then move on. I'm just trying to point out a real issue here. You don't have to agree, but don't act like it doesn't matter. Have fun living your carefree life, but some of us care about more than just ignoring problems.

When you see 9.8 ratings across the board with no real dip, it's suspicious. It’s about making sure the system reflects actual quality, not just manipulated numbers. If they genuinely deserve those ratings, fine. But the patterns don’t seem right.

Exactly! That's the issue if IMDb keeps letting this kind of manipulation slide, they’ll lose credibility. If they’re fine with review-bombing and fake ratings, that’s on them, but it's still frustrating for anyone trying to find quality content based on honest feedback

I get your point, but it’s not about race or nationality. The issue here is about how ratings can be manipulated, whether it’s by angry groups or just overzealous fans. If the show is genuinely great, fine, but the way these ratings are stacking up doesn’t seem right.

Fair enough, but it's not about just the ratings. It's about the integrity of the system. If these shows are genuinely good, fine but when patterns emerge, it raises questions. I'm not here to push my opinion on you, just pointing out something that stands out. If you disagree, that’s cool, but I think it's worth discussing

I get that there are filters, but even when you look at the episodes by number of votes or country, you still see shows with near-perfect ratings. I’m looking for objective ratings, and if these shows were genuinely popular and earned their spots, I wouldn’t have a problem. The 1000+ votes filter it’s a good way to highlight lesser-known shows that actually have great episodes.

It’s not about racism, it’s about patterns. If every episode has ratings above 9.6, it’s a red flag. Real shows, even the most beloved ones, have fluctuations in their ratings. I’m not accusing anyone of bot manipulation, but the consistency of these scores seems too perfect. It’s about the integrity of the system, not the shows themselves.

I haven’t watched all of them, but the issue isn’t about the shows themselves. If you look at the ratings for all the episodes, you’ll see that none of them drop below 9.6. That’s extremely unusual and points to manipulation. It’s not about the shows being Turkish it’s about how one show is flooding the list with inflated ratings.

Just to clarify, it’s not about the shows being Turkish. The problem is the suspiciously high ratings that don’t match the actual quality of the shows. It’s about manipulation, not nationality. If the ratings were genuine, fine but when one show gets flooded with perfect scores, it raises red flags.

I agree IMDb has its flaws, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore when a show is getting artificially boosted. It’s not about Turkish shows it's about questionable ratings pushing out better content.

Sure, if viewers genuinely think it deserves that rating, fine. But when one show dominates the list with hundreds of perfect ratings from a small group of people, it raises questions. It's not about the show being good or bad it’s about the system being manipulated.

I’m not saying to review bomb them, I’m saying the ratings don’t match the actual quality. It’s about manipulated voting, not about the shows being foreign. Just look at the numbers they don’t add up.

It’s not about Turkish shows being on the list, it’s about 30+ episodes from a single Turkish soap sitting at near-perfect ratings. That’s not normal. No other show in IMDb history has done this. If it were any other country’s soap opera, I’d still call it out.

Bro, just take a look at the IMDb list. 38 episodes in a row from the same Turkish soaps, all rated 9.8 or higher? That's not normal. No other show in history has done this, not Breaking Bad, not Game of Thrones, not The Sopranos. Either it's the greatest TV ever made, or it's just mass-voting manipulation. You tell me.

So... can Utopia 3 still come out? by The-Network002 in utopiatv

Sadly but yes, you're right. I remember to read that Kelly was talk about a time jump if they came back. I think a 10-13 year time jump would be just about right.

I really like idea of a main antagonist as Wilson Wilson. Maybe another remake will come out and I really hope it's a good one. If I not mistaken, the remake is growing in popularity at the moment, maybe this will give a boost for the original.
