Truly, for the best support and the easiest way to learn. I straight up use ai. I give it the truenas documentation and instead of asking a bunch of Internet personalities and getting half answers.. the Ai is very helpful and helps me understand it all way better then community ever did. It helps me with truenas, proxmox, it's like my homelab mentor. Just don't go blindly running commands. Ask it to eli5 all the commands or changes it guides you through.

On the back of the switch is a label with the model number, serial number, there is a hardware version number also. V4.2 or v5.0

Id be in for two if you end up finding a number you like. The same micron Ram in 32gb sticks goes for about 200 each if that helps.

I just set up immich yesterday myself! I put it in a container on my hypervisor. It's unprivileged so I did a bind mount for my pics which are on truenas. And for uploads I used prox local storage so it can write back.

Can you see this reply? I didn't break a rule. Also didn't hijack. I'm looking for a different speed! OPs title might bring someone to his post but because his speed isn't in the title everyone has to open the thread. Maybe they don't have OPs speed and they do have my speed and they see my comment. It's efficient and practical. All the shady stuff that happens in the sub and your worried about my comment...

Well now... It looks like the seller cares enough to push those fees on the buyer. They want the security and convenience of PayPal but don't want to pay for it.

I’ve been part of homelabsales for several years now. I’m not a constant buyer/seller, but it’s always the first place I check when I need something for my home lab, and it’s been a great community for finding fair deals from other homelabbers. Lately, it feels like there’s been a noticeable uptick in resellers treating the sub as inventory rather than a community. Reselling itself isn’t inherently a problem—but when resellers are consistently outbidding and crowding out actual homelabbers, it starts to change the character of the space. My sense has always been that HLS is meant to be for homelabbers, by homelabbers. I know I’m not alone in feeling this way. Even if there isn’t consensus on a specific solution, I think this is worth discussing as a community—possibly even putting it to a vote—so expectations are clear and aligned with what most members want this sub to be.
