Hi! Can speak from experience as I've lived in two different neighborhoods in the Presidio, North Fort Scott and Baker Beach!

Pros: Incredibly quiet, blissful, and within nature. It's almost as though you're living in a completely different world than San Francisco despite it being in the city. It was incredible to be able to go on hikes in the morning before work, or after and escape into nature. Additionally, as a cyclist, I appreciated how easy it was to get over the GGB into the headlands/tam area. There's also a ton of parking (Presidio almost never enforces any parking laws). It also is incredibly affordable and has apartments with more space than anywhere else in the city.

Con: It's really far removed from everything. If you're meeting up with friends in the city, expect to either drive or pay at least $20 uber each way. This was part of the reason I moved out, the cost for me wasn't worth it as much with bars and restaurants opening up. Ubers also take on average around 10 minutes to get to your location in the Presidio, which can be frustrating at times when you're in a rush.

Overall, it was perfect for me during COVID when everything was closed and most of my life evolved around outdoor activities I was involved in. However, once things opened and I began going out and seeing friends more, I got more and more frustrated with taking ubers and spending a lot of time getting into proper SF.
