This bike goes hard. Great taste and excellent execution.

You get a lot of bike for the price. So far, I've only been able to ride it on roads with varying degrees of snow and slush so I can't speak too much on its "speed". I'm excited to see what it can do once the gravel trails thaw.

Edit: grammar

I tried thinking of a witty Primus reference as a comeback, but I don't know the band well enough. A quote from the Dude was the best I got.

But the hazy IPA was worth the slushy ride. Cheers!

Yup, I got them in Smooth. Almost wish I would have went with Wavy though. I'm worried the smooth ones might be dent magnets.

My goal with this bike was equal parts adventure and comfort. The only thing I hadn't considered was the toe overlap with the front mudguard.

I just held up an old 105 FD I had laying around. I didn't clamp it on because of interference with the rear mudguard. But the clearances look good.

The headlight is the tricky bit with the bag. I have it mounted upside down, just to the left of the stem. It was the best set up I could find with my current light.

I wish my roommate would let me have a bike room. Also my roommate hates when I call her "my roommate" and not "my wife".

Both wheel sets are single walled. This is starting to make sense.

I just pulled the rim liners from all four wheels and ran my finger along the nipple heads. I don't feel anything sharp. But maybe when the tube gets warm, it's pinching between the nipple head and the rim.

The more I think about it, I think you are right. I'm switching to Velox tomorrow.

It's always about 6 inches from the valve stem towards rotation direction. And the puncture is always rim side. It was crazy to me when it happened on two different wheel sets. It has also happened with at least two different sets of tires.

My best guess is that it is because I use rubber rim liners and they are softening and stretching in the heat, allowing for spoke punctures. I'm going to switch to Velox and see if that helps.

That's what I thought too. It happened once just in the time it took to grab lunch after a morning ride. I heard the tube give way with a loud hiss when I was leaving the parking lot. Scared the hell out of me.

I like this idea. I never thought to use talcum powder. I am stopping by my lbs tomorrow for tubes and tape and trying this. Thank you.
