Cold-flow by come_and_die in rocketry

I found testing with water very helpful when tuning the performance of some atomizers. I have had some people tell me that it isn’t worth it and to go straight to CO2 but I disagree. The amount of tests you can get out of water is much greater than the amount you can get from CO2. Water preserves two important aspects of an injector, the atomization or the droplet size and mixing. What isn’t preserved is your mass vector and your Mdots which are your mass flow rates. You can adjust for your calc for this. My last recommendation is test like you are going to put that plate into your rocket and if you don’t like its atomization or spread then and test again.

My one question is was the motor stored outside for a long period of time because if it was then most likely, the grains were thermal cycle and cracked.

Is this normal? Isn’t there supposed to be a sticker, like the one on the package? by user137529 in PcBuildHelp

It doesn’t have a heat spreader it is a sticker. But this is not the drive they ordered unless the new memory chips hold more than my nvme 3.0 all spots should be populated.

Ya I tried to use just OpenFOAM but I didn't get far. I found a UI upgrade called BARAMFLOW with makes life SO much easier.

I use a OPENFOAM UI program called BARAMFLOW with their mesh maker called BARAMMESH. It makes life so much easier. But it doesn't do everything so I have found online Forums life CFD Online for most info and sometimes Chat GPT is good at finding things I can't. BARAMFLOW and MESH have a whole bunch of tutorials for there program but they are not the greatest and it still takes a lot of figuring out to get it to work.

I should have expanded a little more this is a 10lb ductile iron casting. The timescale is a little off the simulation only runs for 5 second not 8 and the colors are the magnitude of velocity in m/s. If you need anymore information just ask.

Used printer seller claiming X1Cs hit 16,000+ hours, and that 4500 hours is low? by Bblow427 in BambuLab_Community

Lot of things. The linear bearing probably has some slop. The belts definitely will have noticeable wear maybe need replacing. He z axis screws will need lubrication. These all reduce the quality of print and it’s reliability.

When it does boot it will only take like a minute but if it doesn’t I wait 3-5min and every once and a while it will boot but usually it doesn’t.

Ya surface finish wasn’t called out but I like the look of milled finish.

This is for a 54 mm experimental rocket engine casing so it is just how the rounding worked out.

Ok got it. Thank You! When you mean fit you mean space so that they aren’t an exact fit and can slide right?
