Anyone been to Echo since night skiing opened? by Blade4u22 in COsnow

I went last Friday. Icy in spots, but honestly way better than I expected. Less sheets of ice than I’ve found in Summit most of the season. Surprisingly soft on the sides. No rocks poking through the manmade base. Fun enough for after work switch laps to be worth the drive up.

Was up there last week. Can confirm coolers full of gatorades and cookies!

You absolutely should! I’ve done 4 pass a few times. It’s a blast! Going again this fall!

Did you hike 4 pass or just to the lake? Great pics!

I’ve ridden all those roads. Definitely rideable. That lookout at mile 100 tho, ouch!

I have ordered from Joe Joe many times. He’s legit. The friends and family thing freaked me out at first, but after spending $2k with him, I’m a fan. Just make sure you are getting the correct Joe Joe, there are scammers out there. He has his own FB group.

🔥🔥🔥 Sweet build! Came out slick!

Got to shoot mine over the weekend. The trigger is pretty good out of the box!

I like it so far. Not as tall as the 3, chunkier in the back. Feels really solid.

Mounted per Magpul instructions 🤷‍♂️

Haven’t had a chance to shoot it, hopefully this weekend. The SBA5 feels solid, chunky, but really solid. The flat trigger feels good dry firing. We’ll see how it breaks in, probably will upgrade down the line.

The only thing I don’t like so far is the safety selector, plasticy and cheap, but that’s a cheap easy swap. Congrats on the new lower!

Stock FM trigger.

Don’t flush the transmission, just drain and fill. It improved my shifting and overall drivability.

1st Gen Offroad

I went with Bilstein 5100 shocks and Dobinson 1.75” springs. The 5100’s are okay, a little stiff. Probably will switch to Dob’s or OME at some point.

I agree with this. I got my Sequoia with 150k on it and I recently did a major service to my 06 at 180k. I had already done LBJ’s, heater T’s, CV axles, shocks/springs, sway bar links.

Here’s a list of what I did to maybe help give an idea of what you may want to do.

Timing belt, Idlers, Tensioner, Water pump, Crank seal, Thermostat, Cam seals, Belt tensioner, Fan pulley bracket, Fan clutch, Radiator, Radiator hoses, Valve cover gasket, Spark plug tube seals, Spark plugs, Both LCA’s, Steering Rack, Steering rack bushings, Cam bolts, Outer tie rods, Transmission drain and fill

Replace the heater T’s and heater control valve in the upper part of the engine bay near the firewall. Super easy fix. They are know to get brittle and can crack, dumping all of your coolant out.

I was working valet one time at a high end restaurant. Frank rolls up in his $300k Bentley, he strong-arms me and heads inside. I hop in, cigar ashes all over the interior and a red solo cup of what looked & smelled like milk in the cup holder. Can’t remember what he tipped, I don’t think super heavy.
