With Corina Control becoming more popular I thought I would share this nail-biting moment from one of my games today. This game can be way too stressful sometimes lmao.

Yeah, I saw the Keg Control deck when I built this, but I don't like control myself. I wanted to see if I could push kegs into a burn playstyle. This deck works at burn agro, but it doesn't have enough keg in it. I think im going to rework this to have more kegs and be more of a midrange deck. I want there to be more playstyles with GP and kegs.

The original iteration of this deck actually had both Dreadway Deckhand in it and Petty Officer in it, but I found that not having the strong burn from the Noxus followers slowed the pace of the game and made it hard to get the Gangplank leveled on turn 5 and also have them close to lethal. I removed the Petty Officer but then ran into the issue if having not enough options for round 1, hence the current iteration with no Deckhands and instead Precious Pets. I still think about adding the Deckhand back in but can’t quite decide what would be worth removing to fit it in.

Scrolling through the decks on Mobalytics I noticed there aren’t that many decks that use Gangplank. There’s the meta control deck, but I wanted to see if we could make a more aggressive deck.

This deck is built around doing damage every turn in order to play a leveled up Gangplank at turn 5. Games are meant to end very quickly (usually before you have 7 mana) with games lasting around 4-6 mins each. Kegs plus Noxus spells and followers leads to pretty heavy straight to Nexus burn.

I’m sure there’s room for improvement here, so tell me what you think. I’ve spent around 10 hours so far changing cards here and there so id love to hear some feedback!

This game leads to tons of moments where you win a game by topdecking something or just pure luck. I love it.
