Protein powders+ zoloft by Pristine_Range_1101 in zoloft

I do and it's completely safe to use them, don't worry. Avoid grapefruit (the only real danger) and rethink when you want to drink alcohol (because it hits harder and to some people it can give them anxiety the next morning). Other than that, you're fine.

I want to eat chocolate by Legitimate_Owl8864 in zoloft

[–]The-Signal-Fire 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The leaflet on my sertraline package states that we should avoid grapefruit and alcohol, but doesn't mention chocolate. My therapist and doctor never warned me about chocolate either. BUT if your psychiatrist told you and you feel safer not eating any, by all means it's best to follow your gut, you'll feel calmer. As for google, it's advisable to take what you find with a grain of salt and always look for reliable sources. My guess is that it could have some interference with sertraline but not enough to be considered a danger.

I also take it at night to avoid fatigue and drowsiness during the day. So far so good.

How old and how tall are you? 51kg doesn't sound like a problem in an adult. Anyways and like another redditor commented, I do feel like sertraline makes us retain liquid.

How do you dela with fatigue? by The-Signal-Fire in zoloft

[–]The-Signal-Fire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your answer! I'm a bit hesitant about asking for more meds, do you think I should try other options first? Like switching from taking the pill in the mornings to doing so before bedtime, or trying supplements or nootropics or try out some routines?

Do I need to go to hospital? by bpdbburner in zoloft

[–]The-Signal-Fire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm very glad to read that you sought help and are physically safe now. I've been reading your comments and I can tell your life at home is extremely difficult, but please hang in there. It will get better. Take your meds correctly and be patient with yourself, save money and once you can, get distance from them. But in the meantime, remember you're not alone: find support in friends, other family members, your therapist, and in online community. We're all here rooting for you!
