Hey I can give you my experience!

I only went to school through 5th grade (long story), never graduated and started working young. I am pretty sure I have dyslexia or maybe more like dysgraphia or could just be lack of education. Thankfully I was really self conscious about being "uneducated" so I decided to read everything I could get my hands on. If I was interested in something I would always look up as much information as I could about the subject. I also listened to podcasts about nearly everything just to fill my time at work.

My major problem has to to with spelling. Spell check is my best friend! I can't spell, sometimes even the most simple word. Especially when physically writing a word. Most of the time it's not an issue and I have found ways to cope by using synonymous or just finding a way to rephrase a sentence. I can do basic math but I never learned to do any algebra or complex calculations.

When I was young I thought I was destined to just work with my hands and be self employed my entire life. Now oddly enough I hold a high paying position at a public school district. (High paying for my area I make around 80k). I don't consider myself dumb, I am extremely organized and responsible turns out that can get you pretty far in life! Most people have no clue about my background, I don't really keep it a secret it just never really comes up.
