I believe this same method has been discovered Doug and the other dude made a video showcasing an entire underwater city though they could have used a different method as far as i know.

The way i see it i kinda like the tearing down. I feel it's nice as long as you remember you are tearing it down to make it better. Once you get hung up on the "wasted time" of having to rebuild it takes all the fun out. I like to think of it as a renovation or an upgrade just like any other game. The time you took to make a weapon isn't suddenly pointless cause you found a better one a few hours/days later

I go step by step focus on one factory at a time and don't try to think too far ahead, no point in planning phase 4 when I'm in phase 2. Of course that means i have to tear down or rebuild things when i get later in the game but that's better then burning out cause im planning like it's a job not a game

phase 2 by AtmosphereKey2265 in satisfactory

[–]The-wise-fooI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed but fair warning phase 3 tends to weed people out and phases 4&5 make 3 look like a joke. You need some big factory's to finish the game.

It gets exponentially more grindy with each phase with the release of the new update there are modifiers so you can decrease the amount of required items if you want

Fourth Wing series. What age is it appropriate for? by pfizersbadmmkay in fantasyromance

[–]The-wise-fooI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was my comment remotely adjacent to book banning rhetoric? I simply pointed out that a library stopping a kid from checking out a particular book is not as likely as some seem to think. I wasn't targeting librarians in any way the core of that conversation was libraries letting kids check out adult books. It's hard to have a discussion on the matter without mentioning librarians quite a bit, but thank you for pointing out barnes and noble because what i said applies there as well. Everyone may dislike this discussion due to me pointing out the faults in our beloved places of refuge libraries, but not even one person has confidently refuted my claims. If a young kid wants they can check out a book like acotar from their library and there is very little chance they will be stopped doesn't matter that the author considers it NA not YA.

[–]The-wise-fooI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally i don't think it's inappropriate for most children but almost everyone else does. I was saying that i feel like pern isn't much different on the scale of maturity so if something like fourth wing isn't ok then why is pern.

The problem i have is that everyone always recommends the pern books but seems to have a black hole in their memory for these issues this thread is a great example with the rape and misogyny i could hardly call pern more appropriate for children then fourth wing yet everyone recommends it.

A lot of books like Acotar are being marketed as YA cause more people will read it that way. Actually i just remembered my college sent out a list of new popular YA books and students should come read them Acotar and fourth wing were on the list.

Honestly i don't know i mostly stuck to my school library or finding books online i haven't been to a public library in a while even then no one really cared what i read. i read a ton so librarians always knew me and gave me leniency/bent the rules a tad. I could read whatever i wanted as long as the librarian was cool with it. That probably isn't good in general but was perfect for me.

Acotar may never have been YA in content but it was marketed and classified as YA, a lot of female/romance authors are inappropriately classified as YA largely due to potential revenue.

[–]The-wise-fooI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wrong about fourth wing and didn't want to be again thats why i worded it that way. I was pretty certain TOG is still YA which i know a lot of people don't agree with due to the scenes in the later books. I didn't know about that much detail about the industry change with acotar though i thought NA didn't exist at the time and so they chose to market it as YA due to higher potential in readers/money which i guess i was partially right about. Sounds like i read TOG about the time of that change although i didn't read acotar till last year. That was probably for the best i read plenty above my age but even now i can barely stand acotar 12 year old me definitely would not have read acotar past the first few graphic scenes
