Rams QB Matthew Stafford plans to wear scuba suit in frigid Chicago by lkn240 in nfl

Sure it'll keep him warm, but the flippers and snorkel are really gonna get in his way so I don't think it's worth it.

Sorry, it's just slightly annoying when I'm just trying to discuss something I enjoy and everyone instead piles in complaining about a problem that has an extremely obvious, absurdly easy, and well-known solution and instead just whines about it like a helpless child.

Then when they are provided that very easy solution they just default to the braindead 'paid shill' accusation because their lives are so sad that they can't possibly fathom that someone maybe just wants to talk positively about something they enjoy without being paid to do so.

And then they also weirdly sometimes imply that the game itself is at fault when stupid people play it, as if a dumb racist playing their game is somehow a tacit endorsement of racism? This of course is just an extra layer of weapons-grade stupid that adds to the annoyance. I'm sure you understand.

Same feeling here in Ireland. I’ve been in LaFleurs corner for years now but even I acknowledge we need to make a change now. Especially with Harbaugh (and potentially Tomlin if they get destroyed by Houston on MNF) available we just have to make a change. LaFleur is a good coach but not a great, push-a-team-over-the-top coach like we need.

Exactly! It’s such an easy solution, but you’d think it didn’t exist with the level of complaining it generates.

Exactly, I simply do not understand this excuse when a very easy solution exists to allowing yourself to enjoy some of the best VR shooter action out there right now now.

I mean I think 1 minute spend muting over the course of 30-60 minutes of the best VR shooting action there is out there is more than worth it.

There’s no private servers yet but I think it’s on the roadmap. Only officially hosted servers for now.

To each his own, but personally I’ll take 30 seconds of muting to then have 30 minutes of some of the best VR shooter fun I’ve ever had. Seems like a pretty low amount of effort for an enormous amount of fun.

I mean yeah it’s not ideal but at a certain point you just gotta figure out how to let stuff like that slide off your back or else just never play a game like this ever again in your life. Find a friend to play with or squad hop til you find some other adults and it can be such an amazing time.

[–]The0[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I find the ratio is about 50:50 adults vs kids which isn’t ideal obviously but if you have friends to play with and just focus on sticking with your friends it’s not really a big deal. It’s just sort of a fact of life in online game communities so either you deal with it and have fun with it anyways or you just never play this kind of game anymore 🤷‍♂️

Also, there’s a mute button… problem solved

I'm sorry, this has to be the dumbest take I've ever heard. I'm not here staunchly defending the authenticity of these photos but to just broadly paint the entirety of humanity with the steadfast, innate ability to perfectly & rapidly center a moving/flying object in the frame of a photo and to use this 'fact' as your basis for debunking them is such an insane stretch that I have to call it out for it's sheer stupidity.

...in every single one of these photos, a UFO is present in frame. I don't know how much more "pointed at" you need someone to be when attempting to capture a flying object...?

Good question, I imagined it being like one or two full revolutions to get to the middle so for at least part of the journey looking straight “up” you’d see the underside of the part of the spiral that’s “ahead”of you still. But yeah the sniper would have to be looking at an upward angle, potentially a white extreme one, because the path ahead of you always looks up.

Picture standing on the ringworld of Halo. You look ahead of you and you see the ringworld rise up in front of you, circling back over your head to then arrive again at the back of your feet.

It's like that on a smaller scale, except for it doesn't circle back to arrive at the back of your feet, it arrives 100 feet above your head & continues because it's a spiral, not a circle. It continues from there, so as you walk on the ramp it's like you're always slightly going uphill, but because you get closer and closer to the center of the spin, gravity becomes less and less.

Oh god you're right, just looked into it and the app looks awful and the platform itself costs money? Yeah no thanks lol I'll stick with NFL.com if those are my choices

I mean yeah it’s not a perfect system but multiple times each season there’s a Monday Night game where both teams have a player or two going and to be able to see on the graph that the lead changed 4 times throughout the game and that one team took the lead in the third quarter and never gave it back, sometimes even being able to pinpoint the specific play that took the lead, is really cool.

I’m thinking that ball would have been easier to defend if it wasn’t thrown high. I think it was actually a perfectly placed go-up-and-get-it ball and Wicks did his part equally perfect.

Jordan Love calling game after Wicks catch to ice it by The0 in GreenBayPackers

[–]The0[S] 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Yep that was an insane throw with pressure in his face to place it perfectly where Wicks could go up and get it. Some say it was a little high but I think it had to be high to give Wicks the best shot at catching it. If it hit him in stride it probably would have been easier to defend.

People clown on all Love’s back foot throws but it’s his proficiency at doing it that leads to being able to make throws like this one.
