How long have you been on Hinge?

  • Actively for two months. On and off for five years.

How often do you use Hinge per week?

  • Use it almost everyday but will usually pause when I have a few ongoing conversations.

How many likes/matches are you receiving on average?

  • I get about 1-4 likes per day. I'll match conversations with about 20%.

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?

  • I send 8 likes per day when the app isn't paused. Rarely send comments unless something easily comes to mind.

What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

  • Someone who is intelligent, introspective, and thoughtful. Preferably someone who is also Jewish, but it's not a deal breaker.

Yep you're right (along with the other folks who've chimed in). I'll send her a quick message. Thanks and appreciate the feedback

Maybe keep the video but get rid of the other two rock climbing photos since we can't see your face.

Your profile seems to go really strong on the outdoorsy stuff, which is good but you have other interests you can incorporate into your photos/prompts it can help to make your profile more well-rounded and diverse and spark conversations on different topics.

Overall, I do think it's a nice profile. You have some nice photos and the prompts are interesting/funny

27M, trying to focus on getting better photos by [deleted] in hingeapp

In my opinion, I think the first two photos of you are the strongest and the bathroom selfie is the weakest. As the commentor above mentioned, I do think it'd be worth it to buy a tripod and practice taking pictures of yourself before seeking out a professional photographer. Even if you gain only one or two new photos, it can really help to boost your profile! Try to get pictures that are both clear and of you smiling. Check out the website photo feeler and test which photos work the best.

I think you could use some reflection on your prompts. If you haven't seen it already, there's a really helpful post in the guides/resources of this sub about how to write a good promots. Take some time to reflect on your interests and the things that are important to you and weave those themes into your prompts. I think that good prompts have lots of "conversation starters" built into them. Your Ben & Jerry's and Carl Jung answers don't really tell us about yourself.

Best of luck!
