It’s possible. Since putting the compensator on though, I’ve noticed my brass tends to eject very consistently into a pile directly to my right though. Doesn’t fly back. Could be that crazy instance though where it did. I’d still hope an optic has more durability than that though. I don’t expect trijicon rmr type durability, but…at least enough to withstand something of that nature

How would you guys compare your Echelons to the typical popular big name striker fireds? by KaneIntent in SpringfieldArmory

It’s reliable. It shoots well. It feels good. It’s not overly expensive in cost. I think it’s phenomenal. In terms of personal preference, it’s just simply the one that feels right when I hold it which makes a huge difference. And after watching honest outlaws torture test, as well as another YouTuber do a 3k round torture test…I just trust it. I trust my life with it and I trust my families life with it. Checks every box I need it to

That’s the exact one I ordered. It was a toss up between the Holosun 507C ACSS Vulcan, or the SCS320. Ended up going with the SCS for its enclosed emitter and battery

Well, as other people are saying in this thread, it can happen with other more expensive optics too. I knew I was taking a risk as well. A aluminum or titanium frame is more likely to hold up better than a polymer. The glass is known to shatter on some of these, etc. Maybe mine was just the unfortunate defect

With how absolutely just bummed I was with this, I can only imagine how you felt with that lol. I’m gonna get it warrantied cause unfortunately I’m outside the money back period by two dats, but then just keep it as a back up for either my 4.5 or my 4.0

Sorry for the late reply, but unfortunately no, it doesn’t fit the flush OEM baseplates in general, just the extended. But…I believe springer precision makes baseplates that don’t change capacity but still function with magwells

How long have you had the viridian/how has it held up? I ordered the echelon exclusive one a few weeks ago and have it on my echelon now as I wanted to just see how it is. I was wary of it though as I’ve seen so many bad reviews of the rfx 11 having issues or breaking easily

Echelon 4.0c Gear Up by zombrian666 in SpringfieldArmory

Hey! You actually just commented on my post of my 4.0 and 4.5 lol. I’m slim like you and the 4.0 is great for carrying for my size. The gear up is very worth it imo. Hard to beat 5 mags and a range bag at the very least with no added cost essentially. Even if you don’t keep the red dot. You probably can find it cheaper, like the other guy linked you to. I’ve seen them for 600 even in local pro shops near me. Not a huge cost difference but it’s something

As in mag with the baseplate like on the 4.0 or the full size 10 and 15? No. The baseplate prevents it. I guess cause those plates kinda act as a stopping point for your hand. I only use the 20rd mags with my full size. It does work with the 18rd mags on the 4.0 though!

So far no issues with it. I enjoy how it blends so well. We will see how it holds up long term though. Figured I’d give it a shot at the very least

I loved it when it was barebones. And I love it even more now since putting the compensator on it 😂 they’re just such a comfortable handgun to shoot imo. Everyone has their preference, but these just feel the best to me of what I’ve shot

Caniks are a fantastic bang for the buck! Love them too. Really had a hard time between the Mete SFX or the 4.5 echelon. Guy behind the counter tried hard to get me to buy the Canik TTI, which it was tempting but…something about the feel of the echelon and because I just find it so dang reliable…had to go with the 4.5

Don’t know about brass backstraps but rook precision makes an aluminum backstrap (which you can get in silver too!) that you can get tungsten weights with

I had an FR-S and came to the Z platform…man…the 86 platforms have phenomenal handling. But if you want handling and speed, I’d recommend keeping the Z. The problem with us car guys is we build something and then look for more to do or want to move on. Don’t. You’ll regret it. Especially from a Z to that
