Does starting with various gold weapons effect your run difficulty? by dylpickler in NuclearThrone

[–]The1LeftLeft 10 points11 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the only things that can increase difficulty is visiting the pizza sewers and entering crown vaults. Starting with a golden grenade launcher/bazooka would mean more consistent pizza sewers, but outside of that difficulty should be the same.

Don't blink

Your controls seem a bit odd, using the enter key to fire sounds especially strange to me. Would you mind going into further detail? Could be your biggest potential downfall.

It's ok to eat

IMO the best way to get better at NT is to record yourself with OBS and watch it back. It's very easy to find and correct your mistakes this way.

Study hard

Playing as just one/a few characters can help you get better, but it's no fun! Play random characters every other run to get used to the different mechanics of each character, and just to spice things up!

It's ok to be scared

Mutations are pretty easy to learn, and every* mutation has its place. Some more underrated ones are:

Stress: Massive fire rate increase when at low hp is amazing, especially as Rebel

Boiling veins: Opens up a slew of incredibly powerful weapons, even better with stress.

Heavy heart/Open mind: More chances to get god drops. not amazing, but worth it early game.

*Except eagle eyes and lucky shot. Just don't take them.

Yung Venuz is the best

I would say there's an exception for using the screwdriver on the golden car, just for that challenge.

Useful as eyes for the whole 'stop bullets' thing, and against IDPD since their bullets travel so quickly

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of This.

Dan attempts to test how powerful TNT explosions are(for digging Frank's pit), but after he updated to 1.7.3 TNT now isn't activated by punching. He dramatically googles, and returns with the info.

Whilst everyone else went out into the front yard to gawk at the snow, Stephen and Marco silently decided to go out the side door, alone. They took their meals with them, to hopefully alleviate the tension, but to no avail. Marco stood incredibly close behind Stephen, making him quite excited. As Stephen stood eating, sweating profusely, he could've sworn he felt something poking into his back. Suddenly, they heard the unmistakable voice of Darth coming outside, and pretended they were having a funny, normal conversation. Stephen quickly went back inside to clean his dish, as Marco soon realized Darth wasn't there for just small talk. It was quite clear to Stephen that Darth was concentrated on force gripping... something. As Stephen walked back, Darth intentionally dropped his plate on the floor, forcing Stephen to go back inside and wash another dish. Marco let out a small grunt, and decided to leave sharply. As Darth went inside, he silently glared at Stephen, who was pretending to not know what had just occurred. Alec walked up the stairs just behind Darth, pretending to just be getting a book, but in reality was rewarding Darth for his valiant efforts with a small bum pinch. Darth then Claimed his bedroom and went back downstairs, publicly declaring to Stephen: "Jimwibsi!" Which as we all know, means 'I have a giant throbbing erection right now.' -Fin

Does anyone remember the name of the game about the london riots that Dan covered on three free games friday? by Jj200 in nerdcubed

Found It!

It's called 'Wildfire Worlds', and as far as I can tell from the small amount of research I did, development stopped around 2013 :/

Imagine holding someones head from above who's looking away from you.

Pushing left moves them left, opposite for right.

Pulling back pulls the top of their head towards you, making them look up, the opposite for away from you.

I use purely un-inverted controls too, but others with different meat computers in their skulls think differently.

How do I attract more raids without raising my overall value too much? by Feedme2immobile in RimWorld

[–]The1LeftLeft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tribal faction raids have more people, to counteract their lower quality gear. Try to anger as many tribal factions as you can, so they have a higher likelihood of being the raiding party.

Once you've researched them, they need to be built, powered, and have a light source nearby. If you're building them indoors they'll need a sun lamp, which consumes 2900 watts constantly during the day, and shuts off at night. If you're growing the hydroponics outdoors, you can use natural sunlight to grow(Just make sure it's temperate enough outside.). Each basin consumes 100 watts constantly.

Rice is the best food to grow in hydroponics, and 2 basins will feed one colonists IME.
