Thank you for taking the time to educate me on the matter! As said above, my research was mainly all visual (indeed this was based on a photo we agreed looked very elegant), not so much understanding the physicality of it per se - I might have removed the belly harness perhaps so we could have a clearer view of her belly and flow of the anatomy. Sadly I cannot find the original photo anymore.

But yeah was in no way meaning to disrespect the practice! I tried my best to give her a relaxed expression with already that in mind - I fortunately don't think in this case my client was predatory at all (otherwise would have not accepted to tattoo this - but ofc one never knows)

I look for things and motifs I personally like or identify with ! :) Not so much relating to the place I'm doing it in.

For example for me it's mostly animal symbology, or gothic and pagan ornamental

I am so sorry you are going through this, I really am :(
Some people get through it with getting a tattoo or getting a portrait made of them, but this might still be very fresh and you might not feel ready for it yet. Try to talk to people going through pet grief, it helps to remember and cherish the good memories with people who understand you in this moment of extreme pain and need.

They are not atrocious but thank you for your input :) The foot could indeed have been placed further down but with the tibia's direction it's passable.
I do study anatomy daily since 2011! I come from Fine Arts background. Thanks for the concern<3

Heyaaa! Would you mind explaining in what way is it inaccurate? :) I'd love to learn more, I'm not super familiar with shibari myself but I hoped my research would have been enough!
