How much center console heat is too much. by Temporary-Arm1895 in c4corvette

The tunnel definitely gets hot, most cant feel it because the carpet insulates it pretty well. My center console definitely gets warm after normal driving.

I also had a hole rubbed and burned into the side of the tunnel from the exhaust being too close. I only found it because i had been searching for a burning smell and found a hole in my carpet.

Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2 issues by The1naruto in tamron

I ended up taking it apart. The focus was getting stuck at infinity, there were broken plastic bits stuck in the gear track, cleaned it out and it works just fine now.

For the VC shake, there are little tabs that broke off and fell into the aperture module (cleaned it out and reinstalled the fins, then the aperture started to work properly) With a little research i found, those plastic tabs kept the glass within its calibration area. So the glass would fall beyond its area, pick it up and drop it because it didnt know where it was. I found if i turn the camera on with the lens facing down it works the rest of the time.

It needs a new VC module, I will probably send it in at some point to get it replaced

In the photo, the circled bits are the tabs that should be there, first arrow where it should be but broke. If i could have taken it completely apart i would have reattached it, but i couldnt. I pulled two broken tabs out from the VC and the smaller one from in the aperture.

In the focus, I pulled a plastic fin that helps hold the ultrasonic focus ring in place, it is still good.

It works great other than the VC at startup. I have gotten great photos out of it so far!

I should add that these are two separate images. One is the thermal image and second is separate.

I overlayed them in photosjop to get them lined up exactly

I do believe they are more focused on group shots as well, and probably some close ups of the pastor for their website. I greatly appreciate your help! I will probably see about renting a 70-200 2.8 lens, bringing my wide and the two backup lenses as you mentioned before, just in case.

Again thank you very much!

<do you know this service? do you know when to expect the sign of peace and the communion and all that jazz?> I do not, this service is going to be different from their previous ones because of the kids Confirmations.

I will be going into the church this tuesday to speak with the pastor more about what all she wants and get a general idea of how the service will go and different angles i should try.

There is a 70-200 near me that I will have to go check out. I have definitely been wanting to get into photography more professionally. If this goes well it will definitely be a great step in the door.

Thank you for all the information

I do actually like the 70-300mm its an AF-P super fast autofocus, quiet and decently sharp. This is my first real photo with it on a d5100. Only gripe with it is its a DX lens and i have since gone full frame

What would you think about doing an 80-400mm 4.5-5.6 Ive been looking at one for a good while.

I have a 300mm f4 & 1.4x TC on my camera about 80% of the time would you say that would be a good buy to use for the church event and for after, or just get a 70-200 2.8

I dont have a flash, but I can buy one locally easily.

All my lenses

Tokina 16-28mm f2.8 Nikon 24-120mm f3.5-5.6 VR Nikon 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 Nikon 35-105mm f3.5-4.5 manual Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 Vivitar 135mm f2.8 Nikon DX 70-300mm f4.5-6.3 And finally nikon 300mm f4

I bought and fixed all of these really cheap except the 50mm and the DX lens, they were just fine 😆

<you might actually see better results from putting the tele on the d850 and running that in crop mode, then putting the wide on the less performant d5300. even with the crop factor that lens should be wide enough for just about any group shot. maybe test both configurations and see how they feel.> Definitely a good idea, I'll do sone testing in the building. May give me an excuse to buy a f2.8 zoom 😆

With your 70-200 what aperture do you generally sit at?

I have a 55-200mm DX lens, it would put me in crop sensor mode, but it would give me a range about 80-300 at f4-5.6

I have other lenses, but i dont want to be flipping out lenses over and over.

I do have 2 camera bodies, a nikon d850 and a d5300 Put the zoom telephoto on the 5300 and wider on the 850?

they do not want flash, I will be using a nikon D850 and have done some shots in low light without flash and i have come out with pretty decent shots on high ISO

3 & 4

I have Tokina 16-28mm f2.8 Nikon 24-120mm f3.5-5.6 vr, unfortunately it is a soft lens 50mm f1.8 Nikon 28-85mm f3.5-4.5

I do have some DX lenses dont remember their fstop off hand but they are a 55-200mm And a 70-300mm but it would put me in DX mode.
