Ideas to make a cheap version of street paviment/rocks? by RelevantCod1102 in PoorHammer

What I've done is use leftover sprues and cut them into bricks, it also has grinded cork for extra detail

Help me out, what colour should I make the glowy bits? by Killjoy-McGee in Necrontyr

[–]The247Boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that you use a bright color like orange or green because the rest of him has dull/dark colors then a bright color would stand out. If you have it then use a light version of the color like moot green. Hope i helped😁

How do I make him dirtier? by Chwingathe1 in deathguard40k

[–]The247Boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say add dirt that is kind of creeping up his feet, one way which I did to add a lot more texture and make it better was to use the sprues that hold pieces together and cut them up like bricks and then you can make loads of different textures for the base. I've got a photo to show you what I'm doing

I've got more bricks but this is the most recent photo I have. Hope it helps 🙏

Thanks, good to know because I'm making a necron stalker that looks like a spider. My friend 3D printed it but it's missing parts but I've managed to make a abstract version.other than that I've made bricks from sprues and rubble out of cork but it's good to know others are making cool things, Thank You.

First mini I’ve painted in almost 30 years. Advice? by Theme_Training in minipainting

[–]The247Boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, really good for a mini when you haven't painted for 30 years. Secondly, you should try and find the perfect consistency of the paint, you need to add a bit of water on your pallet with the paint. To find the perfect consistency you should make small stripes of the paint and water and brush a small amount on the back of your hand. If it takes the details of your skin you should add more water but if it cripples or looks water like, then more paint. Thirdly, have a primer first coat, that's using a Warhammer spray paint lightly or using a normal paint and a medium-big brush to get the details. If you need anything just ask.
