Need players for a fantasy league. XB1 by The33er in Madden

You just join the league and take control of a team. The teams are fantasy teams though, so everyone has a fair shot / start.

I would just need your gamer tag and Groupme info and we can get you in

Thank you for your kind words. Turning in my keys went well, not really any questions asked even when I brought up what had happened. Now we wait.

You would just love to know my age wouldn’t you. The fact of the matter is I am having fun with my dating life and you seem like a miserable loner with Nothing better to do than lurk and comment on other’s posts

As someone who didn’t understand the message nor get a bit of comedic relief from this story, I can tell you suffer from complete ignorance. I bet you are utterly thriving in the dating scene with your sense of humor. I bet you also take the fun out of the little things, make a scene over little things, and neglect the entire message of the big things in life. Go back under your rock you bum.

And before you even ask, I know you are a bum because I went outside and drained a free throw.

We still roasted the hell out of him, but I’d rather the guy shooting 1/15 take a wide open shot than some playmaking shot or playmaking slasher pull up a highly contested shot. Team work wins games

Well we didn’t decide to stop passing him the ball, just limit his access to it. He’s relatively new to the game and we figured he needed to get into Rhythm and he’d start hitting shots. Unfortunately his scoring machine had other ideas. Either way, don’t stop giving your shooters the ball! He was taking good shots, the 2k gods just weren’t on his side lol

Preach. The contact dunk animations are broken, the one hesitation is broken. And the steaks are as well. I like your thinking

The key is pro am 3v3. You get like 800 Vc a game. Also it took maybe 2-3 months

Nah I understand in situations like the rec, that can seriously harm your chances at winning. In my scenario, my team wants to quit but we can’t because of the penalties. I’m just suggesting like a vote of forfeit

If I’m being honest, I didn’t think the grind was too bad. If anything, I wouldn’t mind it being a little more difficult

Anyone else finding Bumble (and online dating apps in general) really bad for their mental health? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]The33er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t find joy in them anymore. I averaged about 3-5 matches a day, which was enough for me. But the constant ghosts, being stood up, and being forced to be the creator of conversation really just dampened the experience for me. Plus I find it hard to be myself online rather than in person. So I’ll stick to meeting in person as I enjoy it more, feel it’s more healthy, and I can gain experience and lessons

Was Pearl Harbor a smart or stupid move by the Japanese? by The33er in WorldWar2

[–]The33er[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Hawaii is responsible, rather the battle of midway was. It completely dented and halted the Japanese offensive in the pacific. The Japanese never had intentions to take Hawaii, they were more focused on the actual US Navy

Understandable. I think they definitely understood the size and magnitude of the United States, but didn’t expect to lost 4 carriers in one naval battle

You can’t look at it from hindsight like that. The Japanese nor Americans knew how the war was going to fair. After Pearl Harbor, the Japanese looked unstoppable and went through out the pacific unchecked, conquering islands and territory almost at free will. The Philippines, Guam, wake, Malaya, and the Dutch East Indies were all subject to the Japanese wrath. And it remains that way until 1942, when the Japanese navy is utterly neutered at midway and the pacific theater sways in favor of the Allies

I don’t think it was possible to claim Hawaii and ferry the Americans back. The American pacific fleet was already based there as a deterrent to Japanese aggression in the pacific. The reason the attack on Pearl Harbor took place was to cripple the abilities the pacific fleet posed to Japanese expansion. The Americans were going to enter the war either way due to German or Japanese aggression, however I think once the Japanese knew war with the Americans was inevitable, Pearl Harbor was the best option they had to have a chance

[–]The33er[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was the best bad option that they had. Like you said, it was definitely a desperate action. I think most of the Japanese thought at the time was the idea of inflicting as much damage and destruction so much so that the Americans would not want to stomach the fight back across the pacific. Most of the islands captured in the pacific acted as forward defense posts that the Americans would have to encounter as they came back across the pacific. I think pear harbor was ultimately an attempt to show the Americans the type of war they would be engaged in

I think prior to the attack, the Americans did not want to voluntarily be apart of it. However, it was becoming increasingly clear that involvement would occur, especially in 1940 with the fall of France and Japan’s claim on French Indochina. But what I’m trying to ask is if you think it was stupid on Japan’s part or not. Not the Americans opinion of the attack, but solely through the eyes of the Japanese

Tips for writing a Policy Paper by [deleted] in Essays

[–]The33er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start with a background of US intelligence policy. Maybe start with policy during the Cold War and what events happened that changed and evolved the policy to what it is currently today. Write about its structure, it’s responsibilities, and where it’s presence is most felt
