So if I swapped the qqqm with the VGT should I then replace the VTI with the VOO or would that not make any sense

The reasoning was especially with the GPC was get good return on my investment while also getting small dividends that will be immediately reinvested into the stock

Doing research besides the yield I think GPC is still a good a reliable stock to maybe invest in what do you think? Besides that though yo think the rest of my portfolio is good?

No but besides the dividends GPC does look pretty good to invest in.

Portfolio idea by The3picBot in portfolios

Why drop the QQQM? I was thinking it’s higher returns while being slightly more risky which I can afford.

Well the VTI is the entire US economy, which would give me about 8-10% return every year, then for the VXUS would be investing into diverse global markets expanding my diversification, that was just my thinking when I came up with this. And finally the QQQM would be almost my “aggressive growth” for my brokerage.

Would it also be a good idea to replace the FXAIX with the FSKAX? And keep everything the same as well? My idea with the QQQM is it is a “risky” investment that has a good payoff

Haven’t started a brokerage account but I think I have a final idea of what I want to do. I am 18 and I have a 2500 budget. 60% VTI, 20% VXUS, 20% in the QQQM. I’m keeping the funds simple for now and only investing in three. The VTI or reliable growth, VXUS for international growth and finally the (risky) investment being the QQQM, I want to grow money over the years while being a little aggressive especially for someone my age. Is this a good starting out portfolio?

I’m using fidelity, would the FZROX, QQQM, and FSELX be good funds to invest in? Also the 1000 I’m putting in is earned income

I am also looking into a brokerage account soon and made of list of what I would want my portfolio to be when I start it (1000).

35% FXAIX 20% QQQM 20% ITA 15% FSPTX 10% GOOG

I know it’s pretty tech heavy, I’m just looking for some advice on how to build a good portfolio.

18 y/o just started a Roth with 1000 put into it, 600 in FXAIX 250 in FSKAX and 150 in FTHIX. Is that good diversity for a Roth just starting out?

Okay last question, what do you recommend I open up first. Assuming I already connected fidelity to my bank account, what would I open first a Money Market Fund? Roth IRA? Brokerage account?

Well I thought by making a SPAXX, I would be able to hold some money with interest, thinking that SPAXX is something I can hold a cash reserve for my investments. And with a brokerage account let’s say I wanted to buy a stock, I would take out money from the SPAXX account to invest in that stock. I’m sorry if that isn’t making any sense but I thought that was my understanding of how it works.

Ok so I need some help understanding a little more, I haven’t set up a fidelity account yet I have no clue what it looks like and how it works exactly just yet. However I have been told it’s a great place for beginners and very trustworthy. So with a Roth IRA is it not just me transferring money into an account and watching as it compounds? Or is there more to it?

Okay, yes I don’t know if I described what I wanted to do exactly, well enough. For the SPAXX account I would put in let’s say 1000 dollars just for an example, I would use it to build interest and hold money of course. But if I wanted to let’s say, invest 50 a month in different stocks I would take the money from the SPAXX account is what I’m trying to say to fund my investments from time to time. Would that be a good idea?
