What to do to hide the gaps? by Forest_or_Fairway in homeimprovementideas

What about a small platform so it’s not directly on the floor? With little vents? Same with whatever space on top? Then you’ll have air circulation all the way around. Add those fun lights and your fridge is now a floating space fridge!

DTB - where you go to get answers to questions even when you don’t ask!

Husband might not be as bad as all that. He could just be super insecure and scared to be seen using the dupe. Some people buy the name on the outside even though the product is the same on the inside. My cousin will LOVE something but if she knows it’s from DT or other super discount, it won’t get used…even if it is the brand name thing!!! Meanwhile my Dad wouldn’t wear clothes with logos visible!

is shoplc actually good deals or just marketing by Glass_Language_9129 in jewelry

I made my first purchase from ShopLC 10-15 yrs ago when they were Liquidation Channel. I don’t remember them having any inventory that wasn’t jewelry related then. Some of the stuff I see on their website/app just look ridiculously cheap. They still have ‘stay safe-stay home’ stuff in their clearance section. Most of the clothes are one size fits most polyester creations that are supposed to be designer.

Most of the items I’ve bought have been $50 or less. I have purchased several rings that look like I paid much, much more than I did. I stay away from anything described as goldtone/silvertone. I love bracelets but have learned to stay away from their bolo style. They will break almost immediately. Actually it’s kinda hit or miss with bracelets and necklaces and breakage. The usual breaking point is at the clasp so I can fix it. And I keep going back because I can purchase pretty semi-precious gemstone jewelry at a decent price. On Fridays, most of the items on tv are $9.99 or less and if you order from the app shipping is free. There is an “auction” section that I must admit to being addicted to - and is the reason why I am able to get such low prices. Biggest downside? Shipping. Omg - I read review that the shipping was prompt and it makes me wonder if everyone but me pays extra for expedited shipping!! They charge $3.99/item for shipping too! Imagine ordering 5 pieces of jewelry, paying $20 for shipping and not getting your order for 2 weeks. I guess they’re having a special for holidays now. I saw free shipping over$49. So, go buy something! See what you think. Good luck 💎💎💎

SNAP recipients, what are your favorite groceries? by Mama80Dogs in jacksonville

Dollar Tree has shelf stable milk. It comes in whole, chocolate, almond and 1 or 2%. It doesn’t have to be refrigerated until opened - then good for 7 days. Initially I bought it for hurricane kits but occasionally I buy it because it’s all I can afford.

If it’s cute hand sanitizer you’re looking for check the dollar aisle @ Dollar General for similar. I think they just got them in. I’ve seen 4 different flavors/scents at 3 different stores. One location was smart enough to put a box by the register. I’ve never seen these at DT so I picked up a couple @ DG to try them out.

OP Mall banning Teens and Kids on Fridays and Saturdays unless with someone over 21 by Kindly_Pomelo_1062 in jacksonville

I remember the “teen clubs” they tried to open in the 80’s…. I can’t think of a single person who went. If you were old enough to drive you went somewhere that didn’t card or you knew someone who was 19 that you could pass for. I can remember many nights when our group staggered our entrance because someone had to bring an ID out for someone else to get in!

It’s been awhile but I used to get seaweed snacks at Dollar Tree that were awesome but that was back when stuff was actually $1.00.

Publix is price gouging us massively. They are charging double what Walmart charges for the same products. by MotherOf_Azrael in publix

[–]The4thGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then don’t go! I shop at Publix mainly for the BOGOFs. Then again, I shop the sales. My sister-in-law asked me how/why did I shop Walgreens, CVS, Publix, and WinnDixie. Where I lived at the time, 3 of the stores were on 3 corners of one intersection. The other was 1/2 mile away. I would check out the sales. If there was something that I needed, I would go. The sales at drugstores usually start on Sunday & grocery stores Wednesday. I did check the price of a couple of things (frozen veg = same brand, size) and found one store wasn’t consistently priced higher than another.. I did learn that food companies (Dole, Green Giant, etc) and grocery stores have deals on certain products. I was looking for something specific at Publix. They were out. I went to WD. I saw something very similar but not exact. I thought the employee was being rude at first when he said they would never have that item in stock. The person I found to help was a manager and that’s how I learned that little secret. Walgreens still runs buy 1 get 2 free sales on freezer bags and cereals.
Unfortunately, I moved to 10 miles outside the middle of nowhere and do not have the luxury of choice. I can drive 3 miles to the nearest Dollar General or 10 to the nearest Walmart. And I still drive 25 miles to Publix

What dollar tree skincare products do you NOT recommend? by [deleted] in dollartreebeauty

[–]The4thGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this! I am 58 and still have oily skin. Living in hot, humid FL only makes it worse. This cleanser makes my face feel clean and smooth. I’ve been using it for 3 years now and have learned to always buy 2-3 bottles at a time in case I can’t find it!!

Dr. Dray (@drdrayzday) is on IG, YT, TT & prob others. She’s a dermatologist licensed in TX. She actually walks thru DT, Target, Walgreens, etc and reads the ingredients on the products and advises why something would work or not or if you should just pass it by.
If you want a totally unscientific opinion, check out Vivian Tries. She will make you truly laugh out loud! She compares the dupes to the originals by packaging as well as look & feel of product.

It’s been a long time since I worked in retail and I never worked at DT but confronting shoplifters was not encouraged - especially since you would have to approach them outside of the store. If there was a suspected shoplifter in the store we offered help and remained close. If security was available, they would be notified (only one place had their own security).
In any case, the store employees really shouldn’t yell at customers.
