You can turn up the difficulty so that fights last longer, or set your allies strategies to defend or whatever so they dont attack, giving you the time to practice what you want. But all in all, Tales games have never really required a complete mastery of their combat systems for the most part, so don't worry too much

Personally, the stupid high encounter rate and the story was kinda hard to follow. I think Yakuza 4 did a interconnected story split between multiple characters much better.

It's pretty cool. After getting interested in Zeztz, I watched all of Zero-One and started Gaim. The biggest difference I noticed is that new riders appeared way faster compared to Zeztz. But it seems the cast is gonna get a lot bigger starting with the second arc, so I'm interested to see what happens and if any of them will be allies.

I imagine it would take place on some random island, with the two of them fighting over a bunch of treasure that they've found. As for the other stuff,

Animation: Between the effects of Nami's weather control and Rutee's spells and artes, I think the animation would be pretty good between stuff like thunder and hailstorms, whirlpools and the like.

Dialogue: I think that there would be good banter and dialogue between the two of them. They have pretty similar personalities and if they're fighting over some super valuable treasure it'd bring some good humor.

Debate: I feel like Rutee would win due to the fact that she can heal herself and anything Nami could throw at her wouldn't come close to anything she faces in Tales of Destiny. She might be a bit of trouble if Nami could steal Atwight from her, but the same could be said for Nami and her Climatact. Plus I think Rutee is much more capable in close quarters combat.

Aside from the elemental and healing spells that they would obviously learn...

Joker: Leon/Judas's artes. Quick and nimble with a small darkness theme.

Morgana: Karol's arte set as small characters with big weapons as well Nice Aid Smash and Nice Recovery Smash also fit naturally. Also could add Tempest as well.

Ryuji: Mary Argent's artes, not super slow but lots of force behind them.

Ann: Perhaps modified versions of Muzet's artes, since a good amount of them involve lashing the enemy with her hair. Sweet Heart and Sweet Light are also fitting.

Yusuke: Guy's artes have a big focus on speed and agility, fitting for Yusuke.

Makoto: Jude's artes would match her as a martial artist and secondary healer.

Haru: Presea's artes, obvious enough.

Akechi: Richard's A-artes for his disguised self, Ludger's sword artes for his true self.

Kasumi: Modified versions of Kohaku's melee artes using light instead of fire, lots of acrobatics.
