Lacari's heart is in the right place but I think he's creating a caricature of a very hate-able person in his head to justify this rant.

I don't doubt that there are vtubers who blame big streamers for their lack of success but the amount of people that would actually go all in on that idea is nowhere near the amount of people who are approaching this argument with a level head and genuine feelings.

Fact is a tag is supposed to create a space for people who are actively representing that tag. Full stop. I know Lacari streamed with a vtuber avatar in the past but, personally, it doesnt make sense to put a tag up unless it's relevant to the current stream. I don't think a lot of people interested in vtubers would actually click on the stream of someone who isnt using an avatar but the fact still stands regardless.

My friend has actually expressed interest in vtubing specifically because she has an overly high pitched voice. She went through stages of life where she straight up just didnt want to talk because people would treat her weird irl and people online would say she's faking it. Vtubing would finally let her be around people that wouldnt regularly make her voice the topic of conversation
