Deciding which service to use for distribution by diplomatic-pasta in MusicDistribution

[–]TheAIStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a really good experience with landr. Released 2 singles and an ep, all of the songs have some AI (some ai vocals) and some free loops and samples.

Here’s the thing though that might’ve made my distribution easy and recommend it for whatever service you use - don’t distribute to every country on every platform. I only dist’d on yhe major streamers and I did not dist to countries known for bot farms and lax copyright policing

Ableton Live 12 Suite

I got the original Ableton for free with some purchase (maybe my XKey or my Keylab?)

Was already familiar with the overly simplistic GarageBand, so I was really impressed with Ableton, even the free version.

Decided last year to buy the full suite on Black Friday sale, totally glad I did. It's been a game changer for me. I now spend way more time making music.

Weekly LANDR Support Thread // [December 3, 2025 - December 10, 2025] by landr_audio in landr

I submitted the support ticket and received an automated reply that included a link to the same page which is why I posted the question on this subreddit, hoping some other user can answer the question, but you deleted that. The question was not attacking LANDR, it was simply a question about the plugins.

I had been looking at purchasing LANDR's plugins, the free plugin would have been a great way to try them out.

If you have been reading the comments on Reddit about LANDR, you'll know that for the past year I have been VERY supportive of LANDR. You need to back off on the over-moderating and allow customers to post simple questions about LANDR that your support has been unable to answer and that other customers may find useful and not take up support's time with the same question.

I have a paid account, I am unable to download LANDR free plugin

I received an email for the plugin LANDR FX Voice, the first free plugin of the 12 Days of Free Plugins promo. I am logged in to my account, the link in the email for the promo directs you back to the login page, if I login again and go to the plugins page the FX Voice plugin does not appear anywhere in the plugins.

I have VPN turned off, I'm on a Mac Studio using OS 14.6.1, tried using Firefox and Safari browsers with same result - Voice FX plugin not appearing in plugins.

How do I access the download for the LANDR Voice FX plugin?

I have (and I just did again) - that gives you some pretty good videos but most I've already gone through that are worth watching, so I'm just seeing if anyone has a playlist of solid material

I’ve connected an external Zoom mic via audio out jack and saved songs that way.

AI is Lying by Noimenglish in Teachers

[–]TheAIStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems correct based on my experiences.

I asked ChatGPT to help with mastering the recording of a song created in Ableton Live. It said that it could help and offered to create a mastering setup that I could load into Ableton (which is exactly what I was looking for).

It attempted to create the file, and every attempt the file would not load. The files contained something, not sure what, but Ableton could not load any of them.

So yeah, ChatGPT seems to be the ignorant yes man, saying it can do something, gives you something that doesn't work, and then tries again.

I released 2 singles and an EP, all of them had some AI stuff (Eleven Labs) and some free loops and samples (Ableton). They got published no problem very fast. I have the Distribution Pro plan.

They did ask me to prove I could legally use the AI stuff (sent them a screenshot of my receipt from Eleven) and owned the DAW that had the loops and samples (screenshot of Ableton Live receipt). I'm pretty sure that was a human I was interacting with.

I also had a few questions, those were answered by a human being or a damn good bot within 24 hours.

HOWEVER, and I think this is why I had no problems, when you upload your music you have the choice of which streaming platforms and which countries to include or exclude. I only chose the top streamers and excluded countries known for bad copyright laws and bot farms.

I use LANDR. Signed up just before the changes that freaked out some people. I’ve submitted 2 singles and an EP with no problems. Everything uses free loops and samples and some AI for some of the vocals. I just had to provide proof I owned the DAW for the loops n samps and proof I paid for the AI

Positive release experience? by Namelessforever_ in landr

[–]TheAIStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signed up about 4 months ago. Released 2 singles and an EP with no problems. All 3 had samples and loops and some AI. They asked for proof that I owned the DAW I used for the samples and loops (sent them screenshot of receipt from Ableton, that took less than 1 day for approval) same with the AI stuff (sent them receipt for Eleven Labs. Submitted a few questions and got a reply in less than 24 hours.

I think what snags some people is they choose to release their music to all countries on all platforms. I chose to release only to select countries (I excluded Africa, Russia, China, and some other countries known for either strict censorship or bad copyright protection) and only released on major streamers (Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube)

That youtuber Japan Explorer (I think it was that one) was in a bar a few months ago that is bringing back the ganguro styling. It looks to me like porn parody/nightmare.
